The greatest thing about this hotel is the beach, the rooms are in need of a serious update. The restaurant is good for breakfast and the few nights of alacart' menu, but the daily menu is mostly buffet and it is horrible! Really bad quality and inedible ! Most of the staff is friendly and helpful, but its an expensive island for what you get. we stayed in room 313 and there was mold in the bathroom, the bed was one of the most uncomfortable I've ever slept in. the blow dryer was from the 80's, 6 channels on the tv(only CNN played without fuzzies) and the balcony railing blocks every view of the beautiful ocean so..... no view while sitting. Maybe the pictures I saw before booking we're deceiving , I expected much more. Nevertheless, it was vacation and the beautiful beach made up for the frustration.

Room Tip: ocean view means facing the ocean with balcony railing that blocks the view.

Stayed 7 nights for a friend's wedding, the staff were amazing - couldn't do enough for us. Had a pool side room (superior) after reading reviews on here and was pleased with it. Food was great, plenty of choice and good quality. Two boat trips are included in your stay and we really enjoyed both. Beach clean and staff are always around to make sure guests are happy. Loved the live entertainment in the evenings.

Room Tip: Superior rooms ensure that you are not overlooking the bars on the street.

The hotel is adequate but for the price you pay the quality of food and it’s service isn’t up to scratch. You can do better for less elsewhere I’m afraid. The staff are very friendly and the activities good for 5s inclusion but you would bore yourself if you stayed more than five days frankly.

Stayed 10 nights at Mango Bay in October 2017. Husband is a coeliac so checked with hotel he can be catered for. Was most surprised to find menus actually stating 'gluten free on request'. He could get Savannah cider in Wine World a short walk from the hotel. Also you can get Redbridge gf beers / mangers and strongbow in The Chattel Village Holetown just a bit further down from Wine World.

Room Tip: Upgrade from standard room.

There are two swimming pools in the complex, one of them is not obvious and you have to explore to find it. There is one restaurant and they have set ala carte days and buffet days for food. If you don't like what is on the menu then you ask and they will cook what you want. Nothing is too much trouble. There is entertainment each night, most of which is really good and they go out of their way to make you happy.
We swam with turtles on the beach outside the hotel room and a sting ray swell as schools of fish on the reef 5 meters away from beach..
Be careful of Herbie on the beach though he is a local selling different offerings i.e tours etc. He is very nice and knowledgeable but we could have hired a car for 50- 80 american dollars where we paid him 600 for what we thought was a tour guide but it was essentially a taxi and we had to pay to get into places we visited. He is not part of the normal staff just a local trying to earn a way of life. We were offered a welcome drink, and cold flannel when we arrived and then when on the beach the staff popped around passing more throughout the week. Hard to believe you can get so much good quality service for the price paid. Would definitely go back.

Room Tip: We were in room 006 back of the hotel, it was a bit out of the way but great. 104 was also loverly my brother was in this one.
