Recently returned after our second stay in this villa and trying to re book again for next year! Just can't fault this place for location, amenities and support from Mandy, Nigel and the guys that look after the property locally for them. You can't find a better spot on the West Coast than this place. Every local facility that you'll need is within walking distance and everything that we said on our first review still stands.
The villa itself is absolutely wonderful - spacious living accommodation with excellent facilities and a fantastic base for your stay on the island. Can't wait to come back!
Lovely spacious house, brilliantly equipped and in walking distance of the beach. Wonderful restaurants also in walking distance. The fantastic Limegrove shopping centre is on the doorstep. Don’t miss the Chattel village, especially on Thursday night when there is a live band. The local buses are fun, even if you don’t want to go anywhere!A fabulous stay in a lovely home! Would definitely recommend and will be returning.
Just returned from a great holiday here. The house is spacious and well equipped, and the location is fantastic. Everything we needed is within a few minutes walk including, beach, gym, restaurants, bars, supermarket, shops and buses.
The beach is great as were the restaurants. We had two special family birthdays and went to Tides and Nishi, both excellent. Amanda, the owner was extremely helpful before we went and all the info she provided was accurate. No hesitation in thoroughly recommending.
We could only manage to squeeze in 6 nights as the townhouse is so popular that’s all that was available. We were getting married in Barbados and stayed there as a family of 5. The house surpassed our expectations and really made a fantastic place to get married from.
It’s location is perfect when you have kids who want independence as they can get anywhere without a car. It’s walking distance to the brand new Massey supermarket, Limegrove shopping and all the bars in Holetown.
It’s beautifully designed and well equipped with Apple TV’s, lots of books & games, plenty of towels and kitchen equipment. There’s also lots of different places to sit and relax so whatever size group you are, you can all have your own space. I can’t recommend it enough!
The villa and location were perfect for our needs. We were a family of six visiting for 10 days and loved the modern spacious home...I say home because it felt like I was in my own home and I took care of it as if it were my home. The cd's were put to good use and the games were much appreciated. We had a monopoly game that lasted 2 days! The proximity to the beach and upscale shopping just 2 blocks away were a tremendous plus. Solly and Kathy were there to provide us with anything we needed including arranging for taxi service from airport and booking the exciting tours we asked about. Great craft and souvenir shopping just past Massy's which was just a 5 minute walk. Amanda and Nigel were always friendly and easy to contact. We were thrilled with the vacation from start to finish. Would have loved to try some of the yoga or pilates classes at the new gym just a few feet away...but were too busy with water sports on Mullin's beach, scuba diving, catamaran tour, wildlife reserve, St. Nicholas Abbey Tour, horseback riding through the countryside and beach, and Harrison's Cave Eco-Tour (not to be missed!)
First time in Barbados and really enjoyed our one week break. We were a party four. House is spacious, well appointed and very convenient for supermarket, beach, and the up market shopping of Limegrove Centre.
Very easy to communicate with owner Amanda.
During stay Annette did a mid stay clean which was nice. Travel from airport and some shopping ready for our arrival arranged beforehand which was very useful as didn’t get to the house until 8pm and didn’t fancy going out to shop at that time.
Although we didn’t travel around the whole island from what we did see Holetown is the best place to be, local beaches are lovely for swimming and water sports, and plenty of places to eat out with prices to suit all pockets.
We didn’t hire a car, easy to walk to everything locally and when we did go further a field we used the local buses, 2barbados dollars each trip so nice and cheap and a bit of fun to use.
We found everyone very friendly and we always felt safe.
On one day we had a power cut for quite a few hours, fortunately house had candles and torches, most of the local bars and restaurants were also cut off so had a candle lit sandwich, wine and an early night.....
Would certainly recommend Amanda’s home ....
