“OMG a Fantasic Place to Stay”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 July 2014

I can only reiterate what Jay1h1 & Mad-on-Maldives have said, and my wife and I also had a three night stay, but need to add that Andrew and Joan have two of the most gorgeous dogs you could wish to meet, they are rescued dogs from Darlington or somewhere in that area, so friendly and love to play in the garden. Burnley House is an ideal location for walkers and people who just want to visit local attractions as we did on our way to the the Armed Forces Day celebrations in Scarborough. We will definitely be going back to Burnley House to do some more walks in the glorious countryside that surrounds Hutton le Hole.

I stayed here with a friend for 3 nights last week and really loved the place. It is located on the main street through Hutton-le-hole, has 6 parking spaces and really lovely, welcoming hosts and nothing was too much trouble for them.
As far as the B&B goes, it was the cleanest B&B I have ever stayed in. It was delightful, comfortable, very well thought out and there was nothing I needed that wasn't provided.
The bed was very comfortable, tea and coffee and biscuits (ooh and chocolates) in the room, a lovely fluffy robe and slippers provided too. There was a very good selection of foods for breakfast every morning and the cooked items were sourced locally. Cooked to perfection each morning! Outside they have a beautiful garden that you can use with seating outside. I can't wait to return here for another peaceful stay hopefully later this year.

Room Tip: They have a mixture of ground floor and upstairs rooms.

Lovely warm welcome from owners with tea and tasty cake in guest lounge. We were made to feel immediately at home at the beautifully maintained B&B. I stayed in the Newtondale which was a lovely room, it was fresh and extremely clean with lots of treats, local handmade chocolates, hot chocolate, cookies, and a tiny glass bottle of fresh milk and much more on the tea tray. Also the room has a big roll top bath with hand held shower over.
The room was serviced daily which was a nice touch.
Breakfast was a choice of pretty much whatever you fancied, mostly for me fresh fruit salad and full English consisting of locally sourced produce and home baked bread.
Morning weather reports for your destination were on your table each day and we were also given printed details for a walk we had mentioned doing, nothing too much trouble.
Private parking and beautiful established gardens to sit and relax in.
Pretty much perfect stay with everything you could ever need.
You will leave Burnley in a lovely relaxed state!

We recently spent 2 nights in Burnley House and from the moment we were welcomed with tea and cake hosts Joan and Andrew couldn't have done more to make our stay just perfect. Our room was very pleasant and comfortable with everything we needed and the breakfast of locally sourced produce was a treat!
Joan and Andrew clearly love the job they do.
Hutton-le-Hole is a lovely village close to so many places of interest with the peace broken only by the sheep freely roaming. We will be back!

We made a late booking to stay at Burnley House and from the moment we arrived we were made so welcome by the lovely owners Andrew and Joan. A cup of tea and delicious home made cake greeted us, our room was delightful, spotlessly clean and had little extra touches such as real milk for our drinks, little chocolates from the village chocolate factory etc. Andrew booked us our evening meal at The Crown which was lovely, the following morning we ate a scrumptious full English breakfast before visiting the Folk museum and the village craft shops.

We were sorry to leave and we most definitely plan to return to this warm and friendly place. We stayed in Newtondale which was pretty and cosy.

Room Tip: We stayed at Newtondale which was lovely, by mistake I clicked on swimming pool and fitness centre...

We enjoyed a 3 night stay in this excellent country b&b at the southern edge of the north York moors. A really warm welcome on arrival was matched by friendly and helpful service throughout. Spotlessly clean and well appointed rooms with a lovely outlook made for a relaxing break. An excellent breakfast made good start to the day of exploring the area before returning to the peace of the village via a good meal in the nearby Crown Inn.

Room Tip: Kirkdale and Bransdale are truly 'rooms with a view'

Hutton le Hole has been a family favourite for 30 years or more from our days caravanning with the children. We'd always loved the beautiful house that overlooked the beck and wanted to stay there so this was our chance to cross it off the list.
Our stay was all we could have wished and we could not have been more pleased ....from the wonderful greeting with home made cakes to the lovely comfortable room with 'That View!' and a super breakfast with locally sourced top class produce ....this was a stay that truly lived up to our high expectations.

Room Tip: Upstairs room overlooking the beck!!
