I have been in this restaurant around 10 times, both for lunch (fantastic price ratio) and for dinner (more expensive but still affordable and still a very good price ration given the excellent meals).
The chef seems to be keen on trying new presentations and never goes for the easy way. He is all about trying interesting combination of flavors (their mandarine mousse explodes with delight in your mouth). Although he would try some molecular additions (for example flavored vinegar pearls) he never forgets that you are in Germany... and this means something "solid" in your plate.
Sometimes he would be a little bit too heavy on the salt (for example on the scallops) but this is a pure personal taste as I go rather for not too salty plates and prefer to add the salt myself.
I like the "lounge" atmosphere, sober and tasteful.
Service is discrete and VERY helpful (I once asked for a pure vegetarian variation of the lunch menu and I got an excellent meal with lovely cooked vegetables).
An excellent choice also if you go for a professional dinner to sign a contract. The quite atmosphere and excellent food would certainly help for the negotiation...
