Excellent lodge and facilities.....only the trains woke us up a bit. And the car had a wheel spin getting up the hill onr icy day.but we still all loved the perfectly colour co ordinated place and the peace . Great value for money
Service was excellent! Jo and Dave were quick to respond and very friendly. The lodge was beautifully decorated to a high standard, with all the essentials and then some (thanks for the goodies in the fridge, cupboards and bathroom). The linens and towels even smelled lovely! The beds were super comfy and we were very warm and cosy the whole time. As the lodge was brand new there was no wifi yet, but it's soon to be installed. DVDs, magazines and TV in the lodge kept us entertained and we had taken our laptop with us for watching DVDs. The park itself was ideal - seems to be well maintained and managed. Not an overly clear reception area, but plenty of staff wandering about to ask. The wee one loved the swimming pool on site (both days we had the pool to ourselves for as long as we wanted, for a very reasonable price) and the trains going by (although this might not be for the light sleepers - we didn't mind). The location was ideal for travelling to Pitlochry - 10 mins in one direction - and House of Bruar - 5 mins in the other direction. Blair Atholl Castle, a visitor centre, a hotel/bar, gift shop and mill and tea shop are all walking distance from the park. We could have been very comfortable indoors had the weather been unkind, but the scenery took us outdoors most days. Perfect little gem for a few nights getaway! Thanks Jo and Dave. Hope to be back soon! PS. Keep an eye out for the red squirrels visiting right outside the windows!
