We spent 9 days at the nearby Talalla Retreat which is very nice and where the food is good. However, we got a bit bored of the daily buffet for dinner and the relatively limited lunch menue. So we asked the owner of Isira Restaurant (I think the guys who sold him the signs pointing to the restaurant wanted to be funny - there are more ways to mis-spell Isira New Fine Dining Restaurant than one would have thought). We ended up having most of our meals in his charming little hut. The food was very good - 20-30% of the price we paid at Secret Bay just 10 meters away and more entertaining than at Talalla Retreat.
We usually went when we came back from surfing in the morning and discussed with the owner what to have for lunch and dinner - everything we wanted he prepared and it was great, every single time.
We had our 5 months old with us in a stroller (surprise, surprise, there are no high chairs etc. provided). The owner is very good at telling the dogs to leave the hut when there are guests, but this is the reason why I gave an "average" rating below for "Families with children".
