This is the second time we have spent a week at the Michelangelo's resort and probably will come back again. This place is very safe for young children and provides everything you need, specially if you are seeking a quiet and relaxing holiday with your family. The staff is very pleasant and helpful, don't be afraid to ask for anything because they will make sure you are happy with your stay.My only criticism is regarding the television provided: we stayed in the larger ''dorado'' apartments and the television was the only thing that we feel should be changed, the rest of the apartment was perfect for a party of 6 and excellent value for money, but the small ,old and tooked away in a corner television could be replaced with a more modern one and possibly with a better reception, but we will happily return again next year regardless of which television is on offer !

The place i very pleasant ,we visit regularly before/after high season. Ideal for children. Appartments are comfortable and provided with all you need for independend family holiday. Dishwasher saves time, feels like home. The pool is well looked after, closes around 8 p.m. Evenings can be a bit noisy, when some program's on. Good location, not far from the sea, not far from the town. I cannot write how it is in July/ August, but June and September were fantastic. I would recommend to all , who like self controlled holiday with no one behind your back all the time and don't mind a bit of noise and splash while being by the pool as the resort is popular with also local families and their small kids.

Wonderful resort with good service, nice restaurant with tasteful food. Many events for children and adults. Quiet and safe place, good for families with children. We stayed on ground floor - best choice when small children.

Room Tip: I recommend room with grill.

Check-in wasn't completely straight-forward - it turned out that what looks like communal parking at the front of the resort is allocated for each apartment so you get "told off" if you park there for more than a few minutes. But the staff do speak English/German/French between them. They forgot certain things, such as the internet wifi code and asking us which newspaper we would like, and telling us where to collect the newspaper from.

The rooms were well appointed - we stayed in an apartment with 2 bedrooms (1 double and 1 with bunk bed and a single bed therefore sleeping 5 in comfort, although 2 can sleep in the living area in addition) and 2 good shower rooms. The kitchen is fairly well equipped, with a microwave and dishwasher (but no teatowels or consumables), but there was virtually no work surface, which made preparing meals difficult.

The pool is great 3 interconnected pools, with a large shallow pool which is ideal for children - it is open from 9.00 to 19.30 with a couple of "late night" sessions until 22.30. The tables/loungers around the pool never got too busy. There were incredibly loud afternoon aquarobics a couple of days per week, which made having a siesta difficult! The same is true for the disco that is held one night a week - our children went to bed at about 8/9pm, and the music was still going at 11pm!

We went for a package which included baby cot, highchair, buggy, bikes, beach umbrellas etc.. The bikes made it easy to get to the beach, which had a great play area for children. However, the bikes are poorly maintained and one of our party had an accident as the brakes didn't work on the bikes. The baby seat on one of the bikes was old and wobbled, and the buggy had broken straps.

The biggest disappointment for me was the television in the apartment didn't work when we wanted to watch the Olympic opening ceremony. Although the pool guy came to try and fix it he couldn't, and reception was closed. There is no information about how to contact a member of staff out-of-hours. The guest information pack does not contain the opening hours of pool/reception/laundry etc, or useful telephone numbers etc.

The Papanero restaurant, which can be entered from the pool, offers a discount to residents - 25% for early evening, with good pizzas and OK wine. Le Perle, just down the road on Via Mantegna, is a wonderful Bar / Pasticceria / Gelateria which had great ice cream, pastries, and coffee (no discount unfortunately!). Residents get a 10% discount at the local Spar if you spend over €30.

Check-out was incredibly early (9am) even though we offered to pay for a later check-out. This was refused, even though they only started cleaning our room at c. 12.00. However, we were able to still use the pool after checkout.

Overall a good resort, but with a few tweaks it could be outstanding.

We stayed in a 2 floor apartment for 2 weeks. Upstairs 2 bedrooms with balconies and a bathroom. Downstairs kitchen living room and bathroom, plus an enjoyable terrace facing the swimming pool. Very clean at arrival, but it was never cleaned again during our stay (it is though provided with what is necessary to clean). Air conditioning everywhere, but it has a problem so it turns off after a little while and this is not convenient at night!
The kitchen is very well furnished and equipped with washing machine, microwave and new pots and plates.
The beach is a 10 min walk away from the resort.
Swimming pool is very big and always clean.
A minus: on wednesday night disco in the swimming pool, with high volume music until late...

We've been several times in various resorts in Italy. This is definitely the best one, althrough probably most expensive. For a start we got bunch of suvenirs, like towels, solar-mat for a car, resort discount card, etc. We've got Dorado apartment, which has two bedrooms and one additional for kids, up to seven persons can stay there comfortably, 8-person must sleep in the kitchen, what isn't best solution. Equipment is very good, with dishwasher, microwave, simple coffee maker, etc. There is also very convenient barbecue place outside, you just need to ask for grill at reception. Papanero restaurant which is just in the corner is very good, with reasonable prices, there is also discount for resort guests. Pool is amazing, however could be noisy, especially with kids running around. Nice feature is that twice a week pool is open till 22.30, which is bit exceptional for Italy. A bit weak point is beach, which is 10 minutes away, walking throught hot streets. Beach itself is huge, there is at least 200 meters from umbrellas to water, what for me was negative, especially because you need to walk on very hot sand. But, entrance to the beach is free, you just need to make a reservation on arrival.
There is free WiFi available in the resort, but signal is quite weak and connection itself is horribly slow.
At nights it is sometimes a bit of noise, but I suppose it can differ, depending on guests around.

Room Tip: If you want to have internet access inside, ask for apartments on the reception side.
