I Was in Buenos Aires in Jan with my girlfriend , we are both golfers . I phoned the Jockey Club , a woman answered , when she realised I spoke english she rudely hung up . A man answered and told me I could play the next day , no problem there was plenty of time . He quoted me aprox 440 Pesos . When I arrived the next day the nightmare started straight away , the man who I spoke to the day before took 450 Pesos ,10 more than he quoted . He told me I had to tee off in 15 mins and had to use a caddy . My girlfriend was not playing that day and was going to walk the course with me . She was ushered out of the bar as it was members only and after walking with me on the course for 2 holes , was told by the course ranger that she could not walk with me . I wanted to quit there and then , she convinced me to keep going . The caddy raced me around the course , I finished in under 2 hours . The course was nice but the fairways were badly burned and it was in very poor overall condition . I have played in many fine courses , where I generally receive a warm welcome , this was the worst golfing experience I or my girlfriend have ever had . The club should not take greenfees if they are going to treat their guests in this way .
