Took my adult "foodie" daughter to the latest from the China Doll team for a birthday celebration on a wet cool Monday night and were instantly warmed up from the moment we walked in the front door from the friendly staff greeting us, and then ushered to a cozy booth. The daughter did the choosing from the menu that differs from the Woolloomooloo and City versions but favourably so.
Everything we had was tasty and delicious, the drinks enjoyable and the staff attentive. It was only 2 weeks since opening but the place was humming along.
Very very enjoyable; these experienced restaurateurs definitely know what they are doing. Get in before its jam packed every night like their other populars venues!

Went there yesterday for lunch with my wife & niece from Melbourne. Not many people but atmosphere was still good. Great range of Asian dishes including yummy desserts. The duck pancakes was the go- to dish. But all the dim sums ( we tried all 4 varieties) were fantastic. The salt & pepper prawns weren't too bad either. My niece who was staying in the Adina Apartments upstairs commented she thought all the dishes were great selections. I thought the dishes had a great range of many good Asian dishes - Chinese, Malaysian, Indonesian, Indian, Vietnamese. Would definitely return even though we live in The Shire. Parking is always difficult in Bondi ( one hour during the day & 4 hour after 6 pm meters) but there is underground parking with the entrance in the street at the rear of the complex. The service was friendly & reasonably prompt but so it should have been as the place probably had only about 8-12 paying customers. Overall it was a great experience & we'd definitely return.

Yet another good restaurant in the 'China' portfolio, little sister, or brother, to China Doll and China Lane. The menu not as extensive or as good as the other 2, but neither are the prices as high. A great fitout, friendly and efficient staff make for a good experience all round. Bookings for the actual dinning area essential, otherwise sitting at the bar or on a communal table to grab a bite to eat with a drink is a pretty good option.

Living in North Bondi we have been enjoying the resurrection of Hall Street's "restaurant precinct". China Dina is the latest to open and is, without a doubt, a star in every way.
It's a large space seating about 190 but only half, a slightly more "formal" space takes booking with 2 seatings. The front half of the restaurant is for walk ins and the place has already made a name for itself so, if you want to walk in - go early.
The food is absolutely perfect in every way, service is impeccable yet they still maintain the somewhat casual feel that a beachside restaurant should have.
Prices are not over the top and the wine list is decent for a new restaurant as well.
The group from China Doll is responsible and they have done it right.
They will also be opening up another 60 seats in the summer next to the new Adina Hotel (next door).
Would be great for any type of meal and they can accommodate larger groups of say 10=12 easily and comfortably.
Great addition to Bondi!

Not a big fan of Bondi but thought we would try this new restaurant for a Saturday family lunch. So glad we made the pilgrimage across the bridge. Prawn dumplings, duck pancakes, sweet &sour Pork, crispy chicken, tofu & mushrooms were just some of the dishes we shared. Such sensational unique flavors. Followed this up with deep fried lamington icecream & sticky rice with caramilised bananas. Can't remember the names of all the dishes we tried and there were many, but all were amazing. Decor was very pleasant and relaxing, parking was not a problem. Looks like this could become an addition to our regular weekend lunch haunts. Hats off the the chefs for making our lunch so enjoyable.
