“Great place to stay”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 June 2013

My husband and I stayed for three nights at this motel on our vacation to British Columbia. Our room was on the second floor overlooking the lake. The unit was a one bedroom and was spotlessly clean with a full kitchen and dishes for four people. There are two bedroom units also. The managers were fantastic and were so helpful. They kept the outside looking beautiful too. The pool was clean, we couldn't have chosen a better location to stay. There was a grocery store, restaurants, library, liquor store and other shops all within walking distance. Plenty of parking at the motel at no extra charge. I had booked this motel via the internet and had checked with Tripadvisor for comments from past guests. We were not disappointed and would certainly stay there again.

Room Tip: We were on the second floor with a balcony so had a good view of the lake.

My wife, daughter, and toddler grandson stayed for 3 nights in 2 bedroom unit. We all loved it. Simple motel, nicely refurbished, good beds, fully equipped kitchenette. Living area a bit cramped, but it opened up onto a beautiful lawn with charcoal bbq's. (bring your own charcoal) OK Falls is a perfect location for winery exploration. Great play area and safe swimming beach for kids. Sound proofing might be a problem with noisy neighbours.
Nice functional pool with lawn area.
Small town with limited dining, but good options with a 25 minute drive.

Room Tip: The beach front rooms are on a quiet road. We preferred the unit further back, ground floor, openin...

My husband and I made a surprise stop in Okanagan Falls after getting an invite to See ya Later Ranch Winery and luckily found the Holiday Beach Resort motel. If you're looking to stay in a clean and cute suite that over looks a beautiful park and lake then this is the place!! The couple that checked us in were very welcoming and helpful. Wish we could stay another night.

We were pleased to find this place last second on Google at a reasonable price. Neighboring hotels were requiring a 5 day minimum stay for a lot more when we had only intended to stay for a weekend for a wedding. Fortunately, they did not have such outrageous requirements. We were kind of amused to find that the cheaper lake facing rooms were $20 less than the closer lakeside rooms which were right next to the street with little to no view in contrast to the beautiful view we had.

We rolled in at 630am after driving all night and were greeted by a warm older couple that owns/manages the place. Unfortunately the check in is later on in the afternoon (230 I think) and they were unable to flex for us despite being destroyed exhausted. The rooms are kind of like something you'd see out of a 70's Miami Scareface movie (dated and bright colours you'd expect to see down there). While it looked dated the first smell we were greeted by when we walked in was the smell of cleaning agents but the AC was turned off so it was stifling hot in there. It had a full kitchenette in there and a table. If you had a guest there was a pull out couch bed. The air conditioner filter in our room needed to be cleaned or something as it smelled dirty. The room was however spotless and the same could be said about the pool. I kind of wish they replaced the towels on our second day there but not too big of a complaint. The place was otherwise flawlessly kept up despite the dated design style (although freshly painted).

The hotel is about 200 feet from the lake and really close to many of the areas most impressive wineries including the Cya Later Ranch, and the Blasted Church with both equally spectacular views. The beach is sandy and has a nice little path to walk on. If you're looking for a cost effective place to spend a weekend this is a nice little place that doesn't have the online presence it deserves.

Room Tip: Grab the lake facing rooms that aren't the closest to the lake. They have an amazing view and ar...

We enjoyed the very clean and confortable room with little kitchen with full size apls. My day started with a great view while having my breakfast looking out the window. Just across the street a beautiful beach and all that you need (shopping) is less than 2 blocks away! And lots of options near by for outdoors. Ideal for families or mature travelers. No "Night life" or party town.
The managers Berry and Linda were absolutely helpful and polite.
We will be back and will recomend it to others.
You have to do your own cleaning. But you would be mostly at the beach! So...Its easy!

Room Tip: All the rooms have their advantages. The back ones are closer to the pool, shops and BBQ. the front...

We stayed for one night and the room was clean and well kept. The buildings are older but well maintained. Pool was great with lots of well kept grounds for use by guests. Motel was very busy due to Ironman in Penticton but it was still quite with not much noise from the street. Beach and park across the street and close to the Trans Canada Trail make it a spot with lots of activities for families.

Room Tip: Nice views from the second floor rooms.

Overall a very nice place to stay for a family vaction. The price is very good for what you recieve. You can book as many or as few days as you want even in prime time summer

Great for young families.
Right across the road from the provincial park beach.
They have a nice pool with lots of pool toys and chairs on the pool deck.
We stayed in the one story "beach houses" which are small but fit our family of 3.
The kitchens have everything but a microwave.

The draw backs

Beds are terrible and small as they are doubles
no dishwasher
BBQ area is a for charcoal (bring your own propane travel size unless you want to wait an hour for the charcoal to heat up)
WIFI does not work in "cabin six" pick units closer to the office or you will end up sitting on the grass to be close enough to their router

Room Tip: The one story road front "houses" are very nice. Pick units 1-3 as 3-6 have poor wifi
