“A friendly and superb family service highly recommended”
Reviewed 7 June 2010

A friendly and superb family service highly recommended.
We booked this hotel last year, on full board, directly from the owner's contact website, based on few recommendations. We were a family of 4 (2 Adults & 2 children) We all enjoyed staying here and we would recommend to all English families looking to enjoy their holidays in Italy. The hotel is family owned and run perfectly with high quality customer care from the owner's son Andrea. The traditional cuisine with delightful recipes all cooked, supervised and arrange by the owner, Carla, is something that we always will remember. Although the bathrooms were dated the layout of the accommodation was nicely set up and with various facilities for our kids. We are grateful to Andrea who provided a caring service for us when we needed, something which we greatly appreciated.

We would highly recommend this hotel for service, facilities, traditional Italian cuisine and above all owner's customer care. - Thank you Andrea & Carla - We will be back

Reviewed 6 September 2009

My family including 3 children under 5 stayed at the Albergo Aquila the first week of September 2009 and we had a super time. We booked it based on reviews on this site and it was worth the research as it was good value for money and everything that others said about its great location ON THE BEACH and the hospitality offered by Andrea and his family was true. Viserbella is a good place to stay if you want to be slightly out of Rimini centre - it is one long strip of beach with lots going on in terms of accommodation, eateries, children's play activities on the beach etc. At the Albergo, guests all eat together in sittings at 1pm and 7.30pm so you need to be able to stick to that really and you eat what is prepared by Carla (Andrea's mother). Hence there is little choice, but is was good quality home prepared food. We stayed full board and it was worth it (drinks not included). You can take bikes for free from the Albergo and ride along Viserbella high street which has a dedicated cycle lane so is quite safe. The beds were comfortable and we had a sea view room which was literally on the beach - amazing. Rooms are basic but functional. On the day we left, we asked Andrea for instructions to get the bus into Rimini and then out to the airport - which he did for us. Then at 7.30am, he emerged at the bus stop to check we were OK and to change an instruction he had given us and to bid us farewell. That is an example of the type of manager he is and how the place is. A very positive experience and we would go back.

This place is not close to the beach of Viserbella (5km away from Rimini city center), it's actually at the beach!! In one minute zou could be by the ocean sunbathing and swimming!!

If not enough, the balcony on the last floor gave us a great view of the whole beach and the sunrise... truly a gem in this little town, that was top notch comparing to neighbouring properties.

Then the owner was incredibly helpful and so friendly! Andrea was making us feel like at home and being always ready to suggest you the best restaurants, places to visit and anything you could ask... what a great person!

The breakfast was nicely adequate, although not extraordinary and the hotel restaurant only serves you if you order some hours in advance (his mother is cooking, so prepare to indulge yourself with true home made italian food!)

There is a restaurant nearby that serves good seafood and pasta "Alle Route" and if not many pizzerias of good quality give you a cheaper alternative, all within walking distance of 5-10 minutes.

The only downside was the noise and the small space in the rooms, that don't allow me to give the five stars but for everything else is very well deserved, but definitely a great budget place specially for couples and solo travellers!
