“All inclusive holiday:”
Reviewed 10 June 2014

Very pleasant family run hotel and nice position just off main road and walkable to pebble beach. The meals were a good standard BUT the all inclusive drinks package was somewhat of a disappointment. The wine was always put into decanters which the bar watered down. I thought this was an unnecessary cheapskate. Nobody wanted to get drunk so this really niggled that the owners/staff seem to think their clients will not notice. All the guests in the hotel knew this was going on. Orange squash served on arrival.

Room Tip: Rooms with balconies would be the best choice - overlooking the pool, carpark and lake.

After spending 5 nights in very average hotels, it was a real pleasure to arrive here. There are fantastic views over the pools, churches and Lake Garda, with snow-capped mountains behind. We were treated to drinks on arrival (after a long drive) and a warm welcome from the hotel owner and his daughter. We stayed here for four nights and it was lovely to take a dip in the pool after the heat of the day's excursion. Although warned the pool was cold, it is much warmer than the Irish sea and was just perfect. Most evenings, we went to the beach bar 5 mins from the hotel, as it looks over the lake, and is cheaper. Our room had a balcony and looked over the pool and out to the lake.
The evening meals were a nice authentic Italian and well cooked (great if you don't expect burger and fries.) The only negative I have was the morning coffee. They use an instant coffee machine, like the other 3 hotels we stayed in. I expected more than that in italy! I ended up ordering some proper coffee from the bar's expresso machine.

Room Tip: Higher rooms have better views. Ask for a room with a balcony and lakeside view.

If you want great food and luxury, maybe you should go elsewhere. What I liked about this hotel was the fact it's family run. The manager speaks such good English he can tell jokes, plus he knows a great deal about the local area and it's history. He took a group on a guided walk one evening, for free, and it was excellent. Thanks to him I found a lovely bolt hole on the shore of the lake, etc etc. the food wasn't great but there was enough of it so that if you didn't like one part, you didn't starve. The soups ewe glorious, thick, tasty and large portions. Beware though of accessibility. Some rooms, in the annexe, are reached by several steps and the ground is a bit uneven. My room, 122' had two beds together making a double plus a ingle. The double was too hard for me so I switched the single. The manager was very helpful when people complained about rooms and was very happy to make changes. The rooms in the main part of the hotel are accessible by lift plus some have walk in showers. I would go there again.

hi just back from 7 nights at adria hotel ,hotel itself is lovely and some staff are very nice but the let down was the food chicken and pork at least once a night if not twice on the same night which was a let down also when on holiday you like to relax with a drink, on most of the nights we were there bar closed before 10 pm and from about 9.30 when any table was empty it was made up for breakfast which made any people sitting for a drink feel unwanted not a good advert .....

We stayed in this hotel as part of a coach holiday, the location is stunning with lovely views over Lake Garda if you are lucky enough to have a balcony in your room. The drains obviously have a problem as when we returned to the hotel after an excursion the room was very smelly as it had been closed up all day, we opened all the windows and it soon cleared but not really acceptable. The staff were friendly but the food left a lot to be desired - the starters of pasta or soup were nice but the main courses were bad, the vegetables were left out in a large container but the lid was taken off even before the meat was served so any hot vegetables went cold, the meat was sparse and the potatoes even more so. The deserts were limited but those we did have such as tiramisu & ice cream were nice.
There are no safes for guests to use but the owner will let you put items in the hotel safe but this was a problem for some guests as they wanted access to the safe but the owner was out with his family so they had to wait until his return..

We arrived at the hotel late afternoon on 27 October, where Emilio got onto the coach and welcomed us all to the hotel and resort. We then went in and had a welcome drink and were told about the hotel and resort. Then we got our keys and went to our room, they did offer to take our cases up but with 49 people it was a lot to do, so we took our own.

On our arrival at our room was all clean with a nice balcony, advantage for me a walk-in shower. The beds were how we like them nice and firm, sheets were changed on the third day as were the towels. The room was cleaned daily and remained spotless while we were there.
We were on an all-inclusive holiday and were allowed eight drinks (local beer wine and spirits) a day which was plenty for us; otherwise the bar was very reasonably priced. Packed lunches were also provided. The bar had plenty of tables and seating which was good as so many bars in hotels lack seating.

Dinner was served downstairs in the restaurant where we had 3 choices of starter and main course, the food was well cooked. Deserts were the desert of the day with no second choice. Breakfast was continental plenty of meats, cheese, preserves and bread, cakes etc. This was served in the Breakfast room with an overflow into the bar, plenty of room for everybody to sit in comfort and no waiting for other guests to move.

This was a Leisuretime holiday from Cardiff with excellent drivers Charlie and Tonto and with Emilio (the hotel owner), made a very good team, looking after everybody’s needs. This again was a good Leisuretime choice; we will return and have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.
