“Overnight stopover”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 September 2013

Friendly, helpful staff both at reception and breakfast. Lovely spacious room with everything you need, spotless and comfortable as was the bathroom, with bath and shower.
Breakfast was an excellent choice of cooked and continental with everything promptly replenished.
I was only there for one night on the way to Bavaria but would happily have stayed longer.

Stayed for 3 nights as part of a tour going to the F1 GP at Spa. Bit concerned when the tour guise said don't leave your handbags or wallets on the table when you go to breakfast as they may go missing. The twin room was fine and a good size. Breakfast was also good and plenty of it. As we were back late on 2 nights we ate in the hotel. Very limited food menu. A few salads, steak and chips and pizzas.Service was slow as not enough waiting staff. £5 for a large Stella Artois and £10 for a gin and tonic......wouldn't stay there by choice.

This hotel fulfilled all the requirements for a quick business trip to Brussels. It is minutes away from the airport by shuttle or taxi and within 10 minutes walking distance from HQ Brussels. An additional bonus is the tram stop into the centre of the city. However don't expect luxury; this is a functional hotel offering a minimal service at an overpriced rate per night. Dinner on Sunday evening was poor quality and expensive with staff eager to escape at a 2200 hr deadline. After dinner drinks at the bar were eye wateringly expensive. The rooms were stuffy and hot in the exceptionally warm weather and the a/c barely able to cope. Staff were polite and breakfast was good and plentiful. The hotel was also let down badly by a taxi company which went on strike, almost leading to an onward travel crisis. I would stay here again but only for business purposes.

I've spent a night at the Merecure Hotel, closed to the airport, despite the fact that the service was quite ok, the dinner has been very expensive comparing to what I've eaten.
Scampi marinating in a kind of bitter sauce with a after taste of burning food.
Sole fish not fresh and looks and taste as a sponge, but for 25€.
The shower in the room did not worked.
Don't excepct fried eggs in the morning as there is no one to cook it, and the same for the newspaper wich was from another date.

but the all stay was nearly closed to 300€.
as an Accor favourite guest, with golden status, I will definetly avoid this hotel for ever.

I stayed here for 2 nights recently and found the Mercure a pretty good hotel for my business needs. It was close to the locations I needed to get to so could avoid taking taxis and was a short distance from the airport. I took a taxi from the airport to the hotel costing around 20 euros as it was late but took the free shuttle bus on returning to the airport on the way back. The shuttle gets you to the airport in around 10 to 15 minutes traffic depending. The bed was comfy, the room was pretty quiet and there was plenty of hot water for a really good shower. Breakfast costs 20 euros and there is a reasonable selection but didn't spot many alternatives within an easy walk of the hotel. It's close to a major tram terminus so you can reach the centre of Brussels in around 20 minutes by tram for 2 euro per person. 512kb wifi service is free and you can pay if you want a faster wired service. I found the wifi was good enough even for uploading big files. Would stay here again.

Room Tip: Avoid first floor is you're a non smoker - it's the smoking fllor

The room have an office to work, free WIFI and international news TV programs. The Bed is comfortable and room space is enough. The bathroom is OK with all you need. I'd like to emphasis the good service from reception staff which are very helpful. The breakfast is good. What I can complain is the heating system which is was not working on all days (the blows was working but no heated air). For me Mercure Airport is the place where I stay in Brussels.

Room Tip: If you prefer a Hotel close to Airport and not to city downtown this is the best place. Also in ever...
