“Housing Brussels - An Excellent Stay”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 May 2013

The hotel is located in a quiet residential area. There is no signage outside the building only a plaque on the wall in the entrance doorway so make sure you have your TomTom or Google maps directions to hand!

On arrival we were allocated an apartment which was a lovely surprise. The apartments are in a gated complex opposite the hotel (2 mins walk) with secure parking plenty big enough for an estate car. Our apartment (number 2.5) had a view of the hotel and the play park between it and the apartment building, a comfortable king sized bed, sofa, HD TV and fully equipped kitchen area with tea and coffee supplies.

There is a nice garden and patio area in the hotel where we had breakfast both mornings. Breakfast was continental with a wide selection of meats, cheese, bread, yoghurts etc. There is a kitchen area in the hotel and guests are free to help themselves to soft drinks / beer from the fridge plus a selection of snacks and fresh fruit throughout the day.

We didn't use the free bike hire or the free international calls but the wifi is reliable and fast.

The number 29 bus runs to the city centre from just behind the apartment building, the journey takes about 10-15 minutes.

Lovely apartment, nice location, free parking, helpful and informative staff - an excellent choice of hotel for a weekend visit to Brussels.

We stayed here for 4 days/3 nights in March while visiting Brussels and Brugge. The actual name is Housingbrussels (although here it shows Hotel Housing). It was recommended to us by our friends who had visited Brussels previously and we were not disappointed. First, it came with free wifi and private parking (which is essential if visiting Brussels but this was without the high priced parking other locations charge). So that alone was terrific. The rooms were a very big surprise (in a good way) because they were very spacious, clean, and modern. The bathroom was the biggest surprise because the place was so reasonably priced that we didn't expect much. It was large, clean with both a shower and bathtub. The bed was large and comfortable; there are large closets (kind of like you buy at IKEA); the TV is a flat screen HD (about 37-40 inch); you get 10 euro calling included. There is also a continental breakfast that is included in the price that was good as well. Plus, all day long you can go back and forth to the kitchen where they keep bottled water, orange/apple juice, milk, pepsi, beer (yes, beer although I wasn't familiar with the brand), as well as assorted snacks and fruit. The location isn't downtown but we did walk from the building all the way to the Grand Place (which is a nice walk in good weather plus you get to see many more sites) which took about 25-30 minutes. If you don't want to walk, there are plenty of taxis available. For dinner (because during lunch you will probably be exploring), there are a number of very good restaurants just around the corner. The service was exceptional. Everyone there was willing to help out with anything you might need (most of our questions involved sites/restaurants but every member of the staff was always quick to help). Over, I absolutely recommend this place to all travelers regardless of the reason (business or leisure) or group (family or friends). The value alone is incredible. We paid 261 euro (approx $350) for 4 days/3 nights with free parking, Wi-Fi, breakfast and snacks and drinks all day. Try getting that somewhere else.

Room Tip: There are no great views here; just great spacious rooms and a very welcoming and helpful staff.

I wanted something close to the office and had not been overjoyed with my stay at another hotel, so picked this out of desperation rather than choice - so glad I did!
Although there is not a restuarant, there is a kitchen which you can use at any time and fresh fruit and snacks available whenever you want them. The cost of the room included free wifi and €10 of telephone calls. The bathrrom was hige with seperate shower and bath and there also is a very pleasant garden and patio which would be nice in the summer. I would certainly stay again.

Stayed at the Housing for one night as I had to attend a conference nearby.
The hotel from the outside look very normal, almost a private house.
The area looks quite calm as it seems a residential area

It has an open kitchen with something always available for your needs. The room I got was very big...as a matter of fact it was an apartment with 2 rooms one living room and a kitchen.

Service is very good, rooms are clean and staff is very friendly.

Definitely a place to suggest

We went to Brussells for my 40th and my partners birthday with two friends and we booked the two bedded apartment, we found these apartments amazing, they are spotlessly clean and huge two double bedrooms, all with built in wardrobes, the living space was equally huge with two dining tables one for the kitchen and one for the lounge with lovely fittings, lovely views of there very well kept gardens, the staff were also very welcoming and when I said it was my birthday they went out and bought me a gorgeous patisserie cake, lovely touch. One of the best things was also the Breakfast, plenty of meats, cheeses, cakes, eggs and breads, cereals, juices, coffees, and the fact that you can help yourself to Beer, Water, Juices, Milk, Cokes out of the fridge day and night was very handy indeed, saved us having to buy this. Also they provide Tea and Coffee in the rooms, so all you need to take is yourself ! cant praise and recommend this enough Thank you for a lovely stay.

Room Tip: We paid 50 quid extra for a two bedded apartment which was nice for two couples

I stayed with my family for two nights in this excellent service apartment this September 2012. The apartment is very comfortable and spacious, fully equipped Kitchen, nice view to the garden from the balcony. very friendly staff with soft drinks and water available 24 hours down in the main kitchen and dinning area. It is one of the best apartment & service suitable for families or groups.
