Arriving at HB we were unsure what to expect. Nestled within what appears to be a residential suburb, the front desk and apartments aren't easy to find, with only a small sign in a front window giving a clue. Thankfully though, the stall were on hand with the deputy manager, a charming chap from Bradford, meeting us out front.

At check in we were warmly greeted and offered beverages from the communal kitchen - all for free. Due to under capacity we were kindly offered an upgrade from the €75 double room to an apartment at no extra cost which we happily accepted.

The apartment itself was superb. Clean and modern with a fully equipped kitchen, dining area, lounge and open plan bedroom. Toiletries were provided as was a selection of teas and coffees.

Breakfast was again included in the price and was excellent. A good selection of both English and Continental options were available and the terrace garden was a delightful sun trap.

Secure Parking is provided free of charge in either the gated apartment car park or underground. This was excellent for us as many surrounding hotels charge excessive amounts for this service.

Located on a number of major bus routes, the apartments are easily accessible by public transport and car. The journey into central town is approximately 25 mins by bus or 15 minutes by car. The staff are extremely helpful in suggesting parking, busses and attractions to visit. Personally I would have liked to have been more central but for one night it was no problem.

It should also be noted that included in the fee was €10 of international calls, fast Wifi and Bike Rental. A €10 discount is also available for single occupancy.

All in all, an excellent visit made even better by the friendly staff.

We chose this hotel mainly because it provided free parking. The location is a bit away from the city center so you will need to use a car or a bus to get around. We did not find the neighbourhood sketchy (as some other reviewers have noted) rather the city itself is somewhat dirty with many homeless people and gypsies asking for money.
The hotel has no sign outside so we had to circle around the streets a bit before we figured out where the entrance is. Look for the building number and go in despite the fact that the entrance looks like an entry to the condominium.
The room we got was spacious enough for two people, however it was on the fifth floor and the elevator only takes you to the fourth, so we had to take our luggage up one flight of stairs. No big deal, but if you can't handle a steep stairwell, request your room on the floors between 1 and 4.
There is a full functioning kitchen on the main floor where you can cook your meals and enjoy them on a nice patio outside. There are also always little snacks and fruits at reception which is a very nice touch by the management.
The breakfast provided is very good also. Nice variety of cold cuts, cheeses, and other breakfast staples.
The staff is generally friendly, however the person that checked us in seemed a bit abrupt but other people we encountered were really friendly and accommodating.
The place is spotless! I really mean it. Everything is very clean. The elevators, the rooms, the lobby. I even saw people mopping floors in the garage!
Consider the fact that there are no air conditioning in the rooms and the windows only open a little. There was a fan in our room and we slept just fine, but we happened to stay during a cooler few days.
All in all a good option.

We rented a nice three bedroom apartment for two nights at the end of our trip to Belgium for our family of five. The apartment was clean and properly stocked. The staff were very helpful and the service, both breakfast and snacks throughout the day, was excellent. The property uses electronic keypads to access, well, just about anything and the owner/manager explained the necessity of it in terms of security. Given the neighborhood, I can see his point, though we did not explore the local area on foot. We used the property as a base to drive to other areas around Brussels and finally to provide a short (15 minute) drive to the airport. For this it worked very well and we would definitely stay here again if we were driving.

Staff very helpful, and apartment was spacious and very clean! We were there on a weekend and could hear the neighbors partying until late a night but not a huge deal. Unfortunately, the carload of men sitting outside on the street watching people come and go was more than a little disconcerting. Plus, tried to catch a nearby bus to the city center but couldn't get the automated ticket machine to work and never did see the bus. Took forever to hail a cab as this isn't a touristy area. We chose this property for family of 5 due to space and price but there were some drawbacks to being far away from the heart of the city. Just know what you're getting.

The hotel was spotlessly clean, the staff very helpful and friendly and the free use of the kitchen and snack facilities were greatly appreciated.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Brussels.

We arrived with no expectations and found a clean and comfortable place with a family type of feeling. Good breakfast, snacks and drinks whenever you like, free parking and the staff always ready to help with a smile.
I will surly recommend this hotel to my family and friends.

I liked your accommodation very much. It was comfortable to be there, room was always clean, I had everything I needed, personal was very friendly and helpful. The price is really low for that kind of accommodation. Everything was great.
