“If only their was more sunbeds it would get 5 out of 5”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 September 2011

Stayed here in June 2011, with friends and our kids all aged between 8 and 12. The rooms was very clean and suprising spacious and it had a bath as well as a shower. The hotel was clean and everyone very helpful. The food was more set up for Swedish, Norwegians and Germans, but this was the first year for the English and their was always plenty of choice for both Adults and Kids. The Swimming pools were great and the kids loved the various slides and snack bars available. The resort is on the beach which was lovely.

BAD BITS As this was a resort of 3 hotels and the best pools are around the Pegasos Royal you could not get a sunbed after 6.30am. (We had a rota for getting up). The even entertainment was kids club till 9ish then bingo then the reps doing shows, but as nice as the reps were they could not sing, dance or act very well. I would suggest you take a pack of cards.

Finally their is not much else to do except visit the market over the road or go to the local town which is a busy, hot and over priced mostly.

Room Tip: All rooms are the same except you either look over the road and hills or the sea if you pay more.

Went here last week in October 2010 when they closed the hotel.
We liked it then and decided to try it again now in May 2011.

We went here with our 3,5 year old boy. The 16 different water slides and 7 pools made this vacation a great one. The room was spacious for 3 people.
+ many slides and pools
+ the garden creates rooms in the large area
+ a large selection of foods
+ lovely beach
+ kind staff
+ the pools are warm enough to stay in for hours (not in the end of October)

Room Tip: The sea view from the family rooms are not that good.

we recently stayed at this hotel which was i quote from my daughter ' the best holiday yet' everything was what we had hoped for. When we arrived we had a fantastic welcome from the staff especially Guest relations 'Onder' who was so very attentive throughout the whole of our stay there, he looked after us very well and the other familes we were with were commenting on how very hospitable he was. We couldnt of asked for a better person anything we required was immeditaely dealt with. All the other staff were very good and there was always people around to wait on you. Onder was great and definately put an extra star for this hotel. We ate fantastic food everyday, lots & lots of choices for breakfast, dinner, lunch and even the snack bars all cooked to high standards and most enjoyed, they had themed nights and also choice of A la carte restaurants which one is included in package per week. All areas of the hotel were very clean and staff were contantly cleaning after everyone, rooms were cleaned everyday and they even make a display with flowers and towels on the bed which we thought was a lovely supprise. We had a beautiful sea view room and also the fridge in the room was always stocked with drinks. The beach was just a walk over from the pool and it was a lovely sandy well maintained beach with beach bars and water sports. Beds and shades always available on both the beach and pool areas. Entertainment at the hotel was very good & they have lots of entertainment for children during the day and evening ( kids club was good twice a day with lots of different activities ) there was always a show for the whole family to enjoy every evening. All Thompson reps were great with all the kids, all you can here is the kids shouting out for them which just proves they loved them. One thing that we missed this holiday was a good disco as the ones here were not very busy and very hot with no airconditioning so defintely need to be improved, as everything else in the hotel was superb it didnt matter too much. The town was just a 5 minute taxi way with lots of shops and restaurants. We had took a trip for a turkish bath the first day which was a great experience, well recommend it. We also went to the water park which was pretty good but not really required because of all the slides at hotel. Overall we would recommend this hotel to anyone and can assure you you will have a great time. We would definately be coming back again. TOM 512 - TOM 437

Room Tip: Definately seaview room

6 of us stayed for 2 weeks in August. The hotel is extremely clean and staff are very helpful. The rooms are very comfortable and it is good to be able to separate the lounge area with a screen for the extra beds. Linen is changed all the time and very clean and fresh. Staff are always cleaning up any rubbish immediately. Hotel grounds are really attractive. When we arrived there were rose petals on the bed and towels made into a swan! Food is very good, with lots of choices. The huge pools are amazing and kept clean and never seem to get too overcrowded. It is still possible to get comfy sunbeds even at 11 am in peak season, so it was nice not to have to set the alarm for 7 am! The waterslides kept our kids amused for hours and so did the excellent animation teams and Thomson kids clubs. The beach is just the best you can ever get, and is only a few steps away. It is so clean (blue flag) the sea is fairly calm and shallow so is safe for young children and the soft sand safe with no rocks. Just wear some flip flops as your feet will burn on the sand. The staff were always helpful and if you have any queries, Onder on guest relations will do whatever he can to make it possible. Everything here is just perfect for a good all round holiday and with 3 hotels in 1 you don't feel like you have to escape. The only downside is it's not great for poeple looking for nightlife. There were 2 on site discos within the 3 hotels but they weren't very good and sometimes only had a handful of people in them. They would be better using 1 of the outdoors ampitheatres to do the disco as it would be better attended and more fun. It really was a wonderful 2 weeks and we would love to go back,

Room Tip: Pay a bit extra to get the wonderful sea views otherwise you face a busy road.

Hotel met our expectations. We spent most days on the lovely sandy beach adjoining the hotel. No fighting for sunbeds which was a real treat.you could go down at 10am & still get a sun bed in your chosen spot, even after then you could still get a bed. The sun umbrella man would sort you out an umbrella & put it up in your chosen spot=no charge & with a smile!! No sea urchins & no silly beach shoes required.
Hotel very clean=plenty of staff to wait on you. Food quite good-they tended to cater for the eastern europeans so no full english breakfast but plenty of other breakfast choices, such as fresh fruit, toast, pancakes, eggs etc. Quite a lot of German & Russian guests, but didnt cause us any problems. Nothing much outside the hotel. You can get the local bus to Alanya or Side. Stand on the same side of the hotel for the bus to Alanya & the opposite side for Side. Only travel to Side in the daytime as it involves two buses, changing at Manavgat bus depot, taking about an hour & the last bus back is at 11pm - it costs about 15 TL for 2 people. The trip to the Manavgat waterfall was worth going on-very picturesque & the water so cold!
We didnt really try the evening entertainment but chose to go to the Budha Bar where there was live music a few nights.
My advice=pay for a sea view room-as the back rooms overlook the motorway, although if you dont spend much time in your room it doesnt really matter as the hotel has so many bar areas to sit in as an option. I would take a hairdryer as the one they supply is in the bathroom where there is no air conditioning so it can be hot work drying your hair & also the hairdryer gets very hot to hold after about 5 minutes use. Pool towels are supplied so you dont need to take your own. ALL THE SHOPS, EVEN IN THE HOTEL CHARGE IN EUROS AS THE FIRST OPTION although Thomson taken TL or sterling for trips booked. My advice take mainly Euros.

Hotel very good for a week relaxing on the beach but wouldnt recommend for a fortnight unless you are prepared to get the local buses & get out & about a bit. You can use any of the 3/4 hotels in this complex but can only eat meals at your own=the others mainly seem to have foreign guests-but there is a nice bar overlooking the beach in the 3rd hotel. All the pool areas
are lovely & kept very clean.

MAIN PROBLEM MOSQUITOS-take plenty of repellant!!

Room Tip: book sea view

Me and My husband and 7 year old daughter stayed here for 10 days mid Aug 2011. First impressions were excellent, room was lovely, loads of room, loads of space for storage, and very clean!
Mini bar was stocked with Coke, Fanta, Sprite and a few other drinks, apparantly these are replaced when you have finished with them, ours wasn't as I thought we would get charged for them so we didn't drink them. Apparantly if you book with Thompson, you don't have to pay. This info was apparantly given in the welcome meetings, but it wasn't mentioned in the one I went to.

Pool area, lovely, nice and clean where we were sat, which was right next to the pool, it wasn't hard to get a chair, as we was down there everyday early, people do leave the towels on the beds early, and the hotel policy states towels left before 7.30 will be removed, which they weren't. But there are staff hanging around cleaning, just tell them that you want them to remove the towels, or remove them yourself. :)

Slides are open on the pool from 10 - 12 and 2 - 6.

Ice cream served twice a day for half an hour each day. Walls ice lollies and ice cream were served.

Kids Clubs ... Bad thing was that you had to pre-book the kids into the clubs, and the timing was not the best, if the kids went to the evening club, they do not get to eat their tea till after 8 as the restraunt is not open before they go. If you want your child to go to the kids club, you have to sign them in the day before at dinner time, and what I wasn't told was you had to go to the kids club to pre-sign them in, so it was our 5th day when we managed to get our child into any club. Whilst in the club, she said it was ok, they were nice.

Food. This is as far as I am concerned, where the Hotel Fails, badly!
Breakfast choices, Sweetcorn in milk, carrots in milk, sliced potato in milk with cheese on top, brussel sprouts, these were the options for Vegetarians. There was also cold hard chips, pancakes, crepes, fruit, german sausgages, fried eggs, boiled eggs, scrabled soggy eggs, omlettes with german sausage, cheese and tomato. ( i asked them to make me plain omlette, which they did, but it was a very small portion! there were beans 1 day of the 10, and they were cold. fresh bread was served everyday, but the butter was that horrible, we didn't use it, it tasted like lard. cheese slices are laid out to make toast and toasted sandwiches, but the cheese was very waxy and didn't taste very nice. cereal was out everyday, and to be honest I was starting to realise how lucky we are to have food that tastes nice in the U.K as I certainly was tasteless at the hotel. Also, there have been rumours that the hotel serves bacon, this is not true. Even outside of the complex, they do not serve bacon, and their idea of a English breakfast is, cheese, eggs and tomatoes.

Lunch/Evening meals. Lots of chicken and turkey, not as much fish as previous places InTurkey that I have been to. Rice, chips, pizza, brussel sprouts, bits of veg, pasta and chicken nuggets. They do a show cooking area, where they tended to cook the meats, which was usually nice, and they also did a stir fry every couple of days, which was quite tasty, but when you saw them litterally fill a ladel full of cooking oil over the stir fry, it was very off putting.

Kids buffet.... do all kids just eat chicken nuggets, fish fingers and chips and pasta ? as the hotel certainly think so, my daughter never ate from the kids buffet.

Also, the food was clearly catered for Germans, as I don't know any British person who eats Brussel Sprouts and Sweetcorn/carrots/potatoes and milk for breakfast.

In England we have temperatures that food should be served at, which I did explain to the Reps, who they showed me to one of the Managers, I told him, that food should be kept hot, expecially rice, which is what causes most food poisonings, and they did sort the ban maries out so the food kept hot, (sometimes) I asked for a micro wave to be put out at meal times, so that I can re-heat food to a high temperature, they did put one out, but it kept being put back, so it wasn't always there for us to use. When I asked about it, I literally had to really snap and go back to management. I am not one to kick off a fuss, but when it comes to my daughter being ill over food then I will no matter what.

Entertainment, well to be quite honest, it was rubbish! the team who was quite funny did entertain the kids, though after going 2 times, I had totally had my fill. The team as far as I was concerned did not interact with the kids as much as they could have done. The entertainment was held in a Ampi-theatre, which had a very small bar. Thats it. There was nothing else really to do, so if like us, we found Ready Steady Eddie getting a bit grating with his funny voice, then really there was nothing else to do. There were a few tables and a few chairs which the adults were sat, but other than that you had to sit on concrete whilst waiting for the kids show to finish.

I also found it cheeky when the reps put on a show, to ask people to put a excellent on the questionnaire on the way home to rate them.

What was not mentioned when I booked. The hotel is joined with 2 other hotels, so you can share the facilities of other hotels, so yes there were around 13 pools, but honestly, we went to 2 pools the whole time. After walking to the other hotels, I was to be quite honest really peeved off. The middle Hotel, (can't remember the name) was far better, the entertainment with the kids was great, the kids were all dancing on stage etc etc. there was a huge bar inside, bar outside next to the entertainement area, BUT! It was for Germans! So needless to say, we wasn't made to feel welcome by the guests there.

We booked this Holiday with Thompson, and to be quite honest, I won't be booking with them as we found out that TUI were a German company, and to be quite honest, I don't see why they should cater for the Germans more than the British.

I wouldn't come back to the Hotel to stay again, mainly due to the food, after paying £2900,00 for 2 adults and one 7 year old child for 10 days, it was not worth it.
