“not 5 star”
Reviewed 1 August 2013

stayed in july with 4 children.staff were friendly and were good with the little ones.we have stayed at other 5 star hotels in turkey and were disappointed with this hotel, poor choice for children to choose from, ice cream was only available for an hour from 4 til 5 and by the time you had queued up and been pushed in front of by the russians there was only time for one ice cream.food at the snack bar was repetative so alternated with the main restaurant.if you like to have a choice of drinks this is not the place for you, drinks included were wine, beer, gin, vodka, whisky anything else you had to pay for.there was no air conditioning in public areas or the restaurant.had to go out for a meal one night at a restaurant which was at the bazaar so the children could eat something different from chips, spaghetti and pasta sauce.pool area was spotless but very slippy, slides were great, evening entertainment poor and finished at 10 30.will not be returning, definitely not 5 star.do not visit the spa it is a rip off you have your treatment and then you are hassled to have further treatments.

When I read reviews on stella, they weren't great, so I wanted to tell people the truth about stella beach, the staff are fantastic I have three chi, dren and they were great with them , even my youngest Whois a shy little boy but to my amazement he was high fiving and cuddling all staff by the end of holiday. food was fine my husband loved the chicken tasted just like KFC. A little repetitive after second week, but we alternated lunch and dinner by pool and bar then restaurant. And there was a lovely lady who freshly rolled and baked fajita pancakes with a good selection of fillings all on a hot stone ...they where scrummy. Beach was stoney which it does say in brochure, but see was lovely, pool was clean and both pools. We're regular tested, the hotel, food area was spot less, there is a friendly face always sweeping up, would decently go again IF there was less Russians as they are very rude, line jumping pushing even my children sometimes grrr! But me and my husband played a game how many Russians can you get to smile...ha ha, pretty hard game, so this made it easier, don't let them get to you and push you around,

All i have to say is that i really enjoyed my holiday encluding Stella beach hotel, rooms are a bit back dated, but the place an staff really make u feel at home! i extremly miss the entertainment guys (Animation team), as we got involved in there tradional dances etc. your holiday will be how u make it! Love turkey will defernetly reccomend this hotel, hotel staff are very polite, they obviousily speak a different language so try slow down when u speak then mayB you will be better understood. bus stop is right outside the hotel which take you into alanya shopping town. as well as a free shuttle bus that take u to the bazaar . ;-) xx

Room Tip: rooms does not matter un less u are planning to stay in ur rooms though out ur holiday!!!!!!

Went with two others, but had my own room, beautiful hot weather and excellent friendly staff who help you, with what ever query you had.

Although we came from the UK the majority of the guests were from Germany and the EU countries.

Food at the Main restuarant is pleantiful and a good choice of hot and cold food during all 3 main meal times.

Even though the hotel was nearly full during there was never a problem in getting a table.

If you want a light lunch , burgers, chips etc the pool bar restaurant had lots of varity too. This area also serves tea and cakes at 16.00pm and from about 10-.30 am you can find the lady ho will make you roti/wraps filled with cheese or vegatables.in the grass area in a hut- do try this Turkish dish.

Only down side was the Turkish Retaurant you had to book - my advice do not bother the food was cold and you get better Turkish food every day in the main Restaurant - give it a miss..

You will need two round pin adapators -

There is a free bus service to Alara Bassar fr5om outside the hotel,

Also you can travel to Alanya about 30 minutes away. We went to Side Temple on our own - it takes two buses just ask Reception they will guide you as to how to get there, I suggest you do go total cost including the two buses and entrace for one person works out at about £20. Also lots of shops and restaurants by the Temple, going on your own means you can really see this area at your own pace we spent half a day here.

Only down side of the Hotel was and I hope they listen is please get some new beach towels for next season, ones in your room are fine and linen changed daily. It was a good 7 day holiday

Room Tip: lifts available, if you have health problems suggest you ask for a room on the First floor

We have just came home from Turkey, we had a fantastic 2 weeks. This Hotel was lovely. Everything you could wish for with a family. We have 3 boys 17,16 and 14. they loved it. we were all inclusive. the hotel had its own beech which was great because at times it was so hot by the pool we were glad of a little sea breeze. The were not many English at the hotel but maybe they had all been put off by the reviews. to be honest we were worried about going after reading them. There was a review given just before we came went which was positive so it did give us a sense of that holiday excitement. They were right. Staff were very friendly, Breakfast was 7am until 11am, out door snacks in the pool bar were 12 until 3, Lunch in the restaurant was 12.30 until 2.30pm, afternoon cakes and pastries were 4pm until 5pm. Evening meal in the restaurant and outside bar-b-q was 7pm until 9 and at 11pm you could have soup and bread. Drinks were all inclusive until midnight. The entertainment staff were good. lots of stuff going on for the younger children and also older ones and adults. morning aerobics outside, aqua fit, rifle shooting, darts and yoga in the afternoon. Alan ya was about 45mins away by bus. The Hotel is about 2 and a half hours away from the airport. There is a Turkish, sauna and spa, little gym and indoor pool. We all had a Massage which we had to pay for which is expected really anyway. It was lovely and a real experience for our boys. The beech is not massive but plenty enough and the sunbeds and cushions are free to use, there are water sports which are chargeable but not expensive. Most thing are priced in euros which i think they do prefer. lots of people did save there sunbeds early or even from the night but it was OK because you could always get them at the beech and round the pool later when it was slightly cooler. There is even a little disco in the basement. there was no noise at night it was very good, most people seemed to go up to bed when the entertainment had finished because there were a lot of families. We went on a brilliant boat trip, went rafting down the river in the mountains and to a market, go karting was about 20 mins walk away so with all of this and the water sports it was an ideal holiday for our family. Rooms were cleaned every day and clean towels every day too. also you could rent a safe for a small charge for your stay and if you left a deposit in the spa for beech towels they would give you them between 9 and 10 in the morning you could then take them back between 5 and 7 in the eve when they would give you a card so you could then go and get clean ones again the next morning. Anyway i think I have covered most things now. Enjoy if you go! I have forgot to mention. Our pool outside was a lovely size with 3 Water slides! brilliant

Room Tip: I would probably say ask for a low floor with pool view, only because that's what I always ask f...
