I stayed at The Old Rectory while in Wiltshire for a wedding. Helle and David welcomed us with tea and scones and couldn't have been more helpful. The house and gardens are beautiful, food excellent, beds comfortable and owners lovely. I enjoyed my stay tremendously and hope to be back before long!

We went down to Wilshire for a friend’s wedding. Helle & David were so welcoming and made us feel right at home. The tea & scones were particularly appreciated after a busy day of helping get everything ready for the wedding. If you are looking for a relaxing, quiet, peaceful and restful stay The Old Rectory is the perfect retreat!

Room Tip: We stayed in the the twin double room - it is such a lovely space!

Tracy and myself spent two wonderful days in this lovely bed & breakfast, couldn't fault anything about it. Helle was welcoming from the moment that we arrived and couldn't have been more helpful with where to go and eat. The cooked breakfast was excellent.

Helle once again thank you very much for a lovely stay. We will be back

This is the best B and B my husband and I have ever stayed at, in England or Canada. We recommend it whole heartedly. We were welcomed like family, the breakfast were delicious and fun, and the room was cosy. Thanks again Helle and David.

Stayed for two days this July. Perfect location, perfect place and perfect hosts. Many places have one or two of the 3 main ingredients but this has all three in abundance. Love it and will stay again!

We spent 8 days in the Old Rectory which is very well located in the heart of Wiltshire and the ideal starting point for our sightseeing trips in the proximity. The Old Rectory is a charming house, tastefully furnished with a lovely garden - in short "We love it!" From the beginning through our departure we felt very comfortable and like being home.. Thanks to our wonderful hosts - Helle, David, William, ( Tilly & Teddy ) who pampered us with a rich breakfast in the morning, helped with valuable tips for potential points of interest and let us become part of their family. We had wonderfull talks and discussions! We left as friends. Again thank you for wonderful days.

I visited Helle and David (and Teddy and Tilly!) last summer, and knew I just had to come back with my husband!

We spent three days with them last week to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary/my husband's birthday/my birthday on 2nd, 3rd and 4th July. He loved it just as much as I did.

It was just like returning to visit two really good friends. We were again made to feel so welcome. There was an anniversary card in our bedroom when we arrived, and as we hadn't mentioned previously that it was our birthdays whilst we were visiting, on our last morning, Helle and David stuck birthday candles into our breakfast sausages, and sang Happy Birthday to us! It is these sort of lovely touches which make The Old Rectory very much a home from home.

As we had arranged to visit three hostelries(!) in Devizes on the Wednesday night, and did not want to drive, Helle kindly dropped us off, so that we only had to get a taxi home, and also offered her taxi-ing services the next night, when we visited the Three Daggers. When we returned home, we spent a relaxing hour in the family lounge, knowing that we were quite welcome to do so.

The Old Rectory is spotless, friendly, quiet, and if you are a dog lover (or even if you are not), you will love their two lovely Terriers, Teddy and Tilly.

I would not hesitate to recommend a visit to the Old Rectory.

Very many thanks again, Helle and David. We hope to visit again.

Room Tip: Any room is great. I've had different rooms on both visits.
