“Not a 4 star hotel”
Reviewed 1 January 2014

We stayed in hotel Jana from Dec 30th 2013 till Jan 1st 2014. The staff in the restaurant is disorganized and slow - we ordered mussels as an appetizer, they were about to bring it in the time of dessert. They ran out of the Pilsner beer during lunch time. Prefixed menu selection was not exactly complimentary (eg. too much garlic in Capresse salad AND the spinach spaghetti). Also I have to mention that it was really cold in the restaurant.

The wellness was nice, clean and pleasant, only I don't understand why you are forced to look at naked people? Especially in the whirlpool it is nothing but disgusting! Also I expected to get some slippers in a 4 star hotel.

The New Year's Eve party started a bit awkwardly - the so called "DJ" had left for 20 minutes while the CD got stuck and kept skipping, and he was nowhere to be found! That's not acceptable on the busiest night of the year. The dinner was tasty, but again - the service was unprofessional and sporadic. Good idea to give a chance to gastronomy students, but they should have been supervised, and less numbered than the regular staff.

In general, it wasn't bad in the end, but I am afraid it was more thanks to drinks than anything else. New Year's Eve in hotel Jana again? I don't think so, at least unless the place gets new management (and hire a real DJ instead of that redneck).

I spent here one night and I would't recommend this hotel. Prices are sky hight. One night in a city like Prerov for 100 USD ? This is not acceptable. Yes, sauna and wellness are ok. Rooms bit small. If you want rooms as they are on the pictures of the hotel, forget to book "normal" room. Book de luxe instead. Food I did not like to much. Such a small parking area ? Just 20 places I would say. Definetely not enough for a hotel like this. Interior looks old, even if there was an attempt to modify it (atrium lobby etc.). And beware of beds. Not a good sleep I had. Beds seems old and used.

We spent a couple of nights at this hotel while visiting Meopta, the biggest industry in town. There are only two hotels in Prerov, so there aren't a lot of options regarding places to stay unless you consider some of the other surrounding towns.

The Hotel Jana is a decent place to stay. The rooms are decent, some with a view of the clay tennis courts and sports facilities next door. There's a sauna, fitness center, pool table, and restaurant on the bottom floor.

Areas of possible improvement include the breakfast buffet, which was pretty limited by European standards, and some of the room amenities. I was the first of our group of six to use the iron and ironing board, the only ones available in the hotel. The ironing board stained two of my shirts before I realized the cover had stains of some kind which transferred to my shirts, possibly greasy food residue. The hotel cleaned the shirts for me. Also, I forgot to pack toothpaste. I hoped the lobby would be able to provide some but that wasn't the case.

I big improvement that's needed for business travelers is facility wide WiFi. The only place where a signal was consistently strong is the main lobby on the first floor. In the rooms, it's weak to non-existent.

Overall, will I stay there again? Likely, since there aren't a lot of other options. Could it be improved? Most definitely.

We spent two days in this hotel. The room was ok, but not at offered price. It was not 4 stars hotel´s room. The hotel is clean and nice, restaurant is very good (also breakfast and dinner - we had half-board). Wellness is new and very nice (but basically only saunas and whirpool). So the hotel is good, but it is good to have big discount :)

Been there for business reasons.
Clean and nice rooms. Very gentle Service. I ve got a room with no WiFi connection (314), without any problems got a new room (306).
Wellness with 5 Saunas, Whirlpool and different shower was very relaxing.
The food in the restaurant was excellent.
Price quite high for that what you get, if you do not take the Wellness service.

I stayed at this hotel for business, so I don t know where the city centre was but the hotel is very nice, rooms are spacious and with wood. I liked sone particularity inside the rooms. The bed was double and confortable, bathroom nice but there isn t a real closed shower. Wi fi has a low signal in my room 308. The very best is welness centre even if the turkish bath wasn t working. Outside there is a good garden. Breakfast is ok.

Hotel Jana is a nice hotel, situated by river Bečva. If you have a cca 15 minutes walk along the river, you will get to the historical city center.
The hotel si nice and clean and rooms are cozy with free wi-fi internet.
In the evening we poped into the hotel bar, where we had dinner. The meal was excellent and the staff was friendly.
It was a pleasent stay, unfortunately we spent there only one night. If I go to Přerov angain, I will deffinately stay in Hotel Jana.
