We arrived tired and hungry from a long day travelling. We were assured by Thomas Cook rep that the hotel would be expecting us and keep some food by for us as the restaurant closed at 9 and we arrived at 9.30pm. Well it was hardly a meal - we had to ask for it and were given 4 small slices of bread betwen four of us and a small plate of suspicious cheese spread and tomatoes. None of us ate it as it was not at all appetising. The restaurant was a problem all week. It was suppossed to be open from 7 til 9 but at 7 all the Germans and Russians were pushing to get in and it was packed until about 8.30. We always went in at around 8.30 and the staff were trying to clear up and lay tables for breakfast. Not exactly relaxing. Also a stray cat surrounded the tables every night looking for food - not helped by some idiot family feeding it scraps every night. We got fed up of this and ate out a couple of times - not what you expect when you pay for all inclusive. Breakfast was geared up for Germans and Russians as they are the hotels biggest customer. Lunch was OK if you like the same thing every day. We tended to eat at the pool snack bar - burgers etc. I wanted to experience some Turkish food but sadly it was mainly German sausage and stew in the main restaurant.
Alcoholic drinks were very limited - lager which I have to say was nice, Turkish wine , an accomplished taste and vodka or Raki.
The hotel was very noisy at night - mainly from surrounding hotels and other guests. Doors banging all night until about 3am and then at 6 again when people started waking up and cleaners etc. I felt I didnt sleep more than 2 hours a night the whole week. Walls very thin I could hear the man in the next room snoring all night.
The hotel grounds are lovely and the pools are huge and not busy. Plenty of loungers. Beach is very close by but sea is rough and lifeguard was frequently calling people out of the sea.
The area is lovely and the locals nice to chat to. Some of the hotel staff are lovely and will do anything to please you. Others are not so helpful and only seem to understand German.
There was no free ice cream which disappointed the kids but they were just as happy with unlimited coke and juice. Dessert was not really what kids are used to - mainly sponge cake which was dry.
Alanya is lovely and a boat trip is worth while.
Waterslides were a godsend although be aware they are only on from 10 -12 and 3 - 5. Entertainment is all in German so we didnt bother after the first night. TV channels are all German also. I know you don,t holiday to watch TV but it helps a bit to keep kids quiet when youre trying to have a shower etc.
I personally found the Russians extremely rude which I know isnt the hotels fault but it did ruin the experience somewhat. Having someone push in front of you all the time became a bit tiresome.
Hotel very clean and air con worked and water temperature all OK. Clean towels everyday in room although you do have to pay for pool towels and beach towels. We just took ours from the room. There is no kettle in the room which is a must for me but when I requested one the receptionist found it strange. Its either that or get up and dressed and walk down 3 flights of stairs for the smallest coffee in the world.
The Spa is in the Select hotel which is kept separate with a separate restaurant. The a la carte is Chinese and Turkish which are served in the main restaurant anyway so we didnt bother.

We had good service but I guess that was due to the staff wanting their tips. There are some great local shops to buy souvenirs and fake goods if you like that kind of thing. Lots to see and do in the area.

All in all I would re visit the area but not this hotel. If there were no other guests there and the restaurant stayed open later then maybe I would.

Room Tip: We had a family room which was a living room with a sofa with sheet on and a camp bed then a bedroom...

The hotel is very clean and it is very quit. Very nice that no one can make seat reservations next to the pool early in the morning. There are enough seats for everyone. Nice big rooms (suites).

Negative was definetly the food during lunch and dinner. There was enough choice but everything that should be warm was cold.

Personal only spoke Turkisch and German. No English at all.

To sum up, great holiday, great weather but a pitty of the food.

We have spent a week there in June 2011 and it was super. We had our suite in the second building, which is on the other side of a small street (ca. 10 m, no traffic, so it's absolutely no problem). The restaurants and the pools are at the main building, but there are some small shops and a nice garden at the second one too. We had sea view for no extra charge. Our two room suite had an older entrance door, but it was absolutely clean and friendly. The furniture was new or recently renewed. We had a small fridge, hair drier, good working air condition in each room (can be controlled separately), balcony.
The beach of the hotel is maintained and clean, but it is pebbly and it deepens suddenly, so I think it isn't good for little children. Maybe for this reason, there are free sunbeds on the beach every time, if someone wants to sunbathe and relax.
The pool area contains one larger and 3 smaller pools. 2 of them are children's pools, where the smallest ones can play. The larger slides were built at a separate pool, so the children and the swimmers aren't disturbed by them.
The food in the hotel is extraordinarily good. You surely won't be able to keep your diet there :) The cooks know their jobs very well. Beyond the copious meal, there are SO appetizing cookies and desserts, it's amazing how easily they seduce anyone. Since the cooks replace the emptied dishes immediately, the late eaters will find the same range of food like the early rushers.
The greatest ace of the hotel is the crew. They work continously on the guests' well-being. There are no empty glasses left anywhere, no fallen food on the floor. The receptionists, waiters, cooks, animators are very lovely and ready to help you.
I suggest this hotel for those who want to have a great family holiday in a very good place, but don't require needless and useless luxury.

Excelent:
Staff, services, animations, cleaning, ALL-INCLUSIVE concept, FRESH orange juice for brekfast...

Very good:
Food, tobogans, pool, garden, restaurants, rooms

Good:
beach, sea, location (but near main road Antalya-Alanya - noisily traffic)

It is very good choice for family-vacation. Tobogans, pool, MINI-club, tenis, table-tenis... Safe way per garden to beach...
