“Death by brownie? Oh heck yeah!”
Reviewed 31 August 2014 via mobile

The melted provolone and bread was very good, however serves 2-4 people as an appetizer, so only get one! (Two orders for two people was too much!) my friend and I each had curry wraps which were excellent!! The mocha's were the best with large dollops of rich chocolate clinging onto the spoon! I had the "death by brownie", which is chocolate brownie with chocolate ganache, blackberry sauce and vanilla ice cream....yea it was that good! They also sell chocolate truffles there!

“one of the best meals we had in costa rica”
Reviewed 27 August 2014

Wonderful Place! We had a truly delicious meal, the mole was amazing, all while watching a beautiful sunset from their large patio. The desserts were spectacular, I think we tried them all, our favorite being the chocolate soufflé. Jenny our waiter was very nice and attentive, and the owner chatted with us for some time and shared a lot about life in Costa Rica with us. We left with artisanal truffles and all kinds of cookies for our next day having made some new friends and learned a lot about the art of chocolate making. Enjoy!

“Don't miss Cabure when in Monteverde!”
Reviewed 21 August 2014

Looking for a fulfilling lunch after exploring Monteverde's magnificent mountain trails? In search of an afternoon snack stop for good coffee and wifi? Interested in a delightful dinner on a covered, outdoor terrace? Look no further than Cabure. Perched on a hillside, the terrace has beautiful daytime views of the forest and it's a great place to enjoy sunset with a glass of wine. My favorite menu items include the tomato soup, the chicken mole wrap, the fish curry, and - like others have mentioned - The Hot Chocolate. It's the real deal. Actually, everything here is the real deal - you won't find consistently good food made from the freshest, hand-selected ingredients (by Susana, the owner) anywhere else in town. This is why Cabure is favored both by locals as well as visitors. Enjoy!

“Chocolate Tour & Dinner”
Reviewed 6 August 2014

Great place! The restaurant is Argentinian in theme and delicious! Bob was a great host for the chocolate tour. I have a new found respect for cholate makers and cholatiers! They two are not one in the same. The food was the best that we had eaten in our four days in Costa Rica. Jenny, our waitress was informative and attentative. A MUST!!

“Amazing hot chocolate!”
Reviewed 21 July 2014 via mobile

We went here for lunch. It was quite cold in the open-air restaurant, but maybe we just didn't dress right for Monteverde.
Food was above fine, but not great. Prices are a bit high.
The homemade chocolates are fine, but too expensive. The hot chocolate was amazing though!
One of the best I've ever had, and I've had a lot!
Go here for a midday cake/hot chocolate.
