My family really enjoyed our stay at this inn! Our room was very comfortable and clean and we loved spending time at the restaurant with it's beautiful views. The complementary breakfasts were very good here and we loved everything that we ordered for our evening meals as well. The owner was very enthusiastic about the region and taught us quite a bit about Permaculture at this inn. This inn shares it's property with the Valle Escondito trails, so guests have full access to extensive jungle hiking, including gorgeous waterfall and valley views! We definitely plan to return!

The Monteverde Inn is a lovely hotel made up of small cabins around the beautiful grounds. They have a very well-maintained preserve with animals and birds and trails, with exceptional views that will blow you away

Jonah (the owner) has permaculture gardens scattered throughout the forest which is also very interesting. There is a magical little hammock garden for relaxing. The cafe is super convenient and has a world-class view. We also enjoyed the night walk. The staff is all friendly and helpful

I chose the inexpensive room and was very pleased - bunk beds, clean bathroom, no frills. Be aware they only take cash so you have to bring enough.

The Monteverde Inn is a perfect place to stay when you visit Monteverde. It is very welcoming and the staff is super friendly. The rooms are comfy and clean with hot showers. The location is beautiful — the rooms are located in multiple small buildings surrounded by trees and a grassy area with a little creek running through it. From the property, you can see the Pacific Ocean when the sky is clear, and you are only a short uphill walk from the Bus stop where you catch the Bus to the national park. The Valle Escondido preserve that belongs to the Monteverdi Inn is magnificent, and the hammock garden is an excellent place to hang out when it is not raining. We especially loved the restaurant. Most of the ingredients they use are organic and locally grown by small farmers, the prices are very reasonable, and the food is very yummy — especially the pizzas, which are baked in a wood oven directly in the seating area, and the breakfast buffet (which was included with our stay).

Wonderful place! I appreciated the ecologic committent which in any case goes with all conforts possible. Food is excellent with convenient price and beautiful escursions following the path from the hotel are available.

Jonah and Suzanna were good hosts and explained things well for us. The view was amazing and we saw a very cool lightning storm one night. The night tour was fun and Jonah hooked us up with an awesome personal guide at the bio-reserve. The food was pretty good there, but they weren’t shy to recommend other places in town. The only downside was the sheer wetness of everything, which might just be Monteverde! Even things that we brought dry were a bit damp when we left. A dehumidifier in the room would be great, but probably goes against their commitment to ecological practices which I can appreciate.
