The Royal Forestry Society coach driver used all his skills to drive us up to this fascinating hotel. A fleet of mini busses would afterwards ferry us up and down to reception and restaurant. In the evening of our first night I walked higher up the road and met an armadillo. Took a video of it searching for food in a gully.
The hotel was founded by Friends (Quakers) and has grown over time to be very popular. Probably the biggest buffet breakfast of any of the hotels we stayed in of our tour of Costa Rica. So much choice of local produce.
Swam in a pool with a gym next to it. I was early so had exclusive use.
