“Fun time with Junior”
Reviewed 3 April 2014

If you've read other reviews, you've already heard that Junior does a nice tour. He cracks jokes, yet it is informative and interesting. There is plenty to see in a couple of hours, not crowded, but relaxing. We even got to ride in the pretty oxcart! Don Juan was there, too. Fun morning!

“These people are artists”
Reviewed 28 March 2014

Okay, it was the free trampoline in the back yard that brought our daughter and grandkids in, but it's the coffee (and barista artistry), friendliness, food, and atmosphere that kept bringing us back every day. Their family started and owns the Don Juan Coffee Plantation just outside of Santa Elena, and please believe me when I say, these people know their coffee. I'm from the Pacific Northwest and consider myself fairly knowledgeable when it comes to coffee, but these folks schooled me in the nicest way, like a good friend would share their knowledge with you. They are absolutely the nicest couple with a sincere interest in their customers. The fact that their coffee, food and service are outstanding and reasonably priced is just a bonus.

“Best cup of coffee in Monteverde!”
Reviewed 23 March 2014

We had a great lunch here and some of the best coffee I've ever had. The coffee is roasted on-site and Hayner and Kathia are the very best baristas, turning their perfectly roasted beans into a fabulous cup of coffee. Hayner enthusiastically showed us his roasting process which was so interesting and added another dimension to our great experience here. Definitely recommend!!

“Consistently good”
Reviewed 2 February 2014

We visited this place a few times during our 10 days in Monteverde, for lunch or just for a coffee/tea (and sometimes a cake...), which probably says it all. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the food was consistently good (my partner particularly liked the peppermint lemonade), and the atmosphere was warm. They have a long terrace to sit on and watch the world go by (and also the hummingbirds). Recommended.

“It was okay ... Nothing special ”
Reviewed 26 January 2014 via mobile

My friends and I shared nachos which were a tad overpriced but prepared well. They didn't taste fantastic. I also had a cheese quesadilla, which was just like any in town, but again, a tad overpriced and included a salad. Nice atmosphere, decent service, but overpriced.
