I recently stayed there for a holiday and returned less than satisfied. The food was to a reasonable standard buy the entertainment was repetitive and disruptive. My 16 year old daughter was repeatedly harassed by one of the staff and had her in tears because of him following her into the toilets and staring at her whilst she was in the pool. Terrible experience, would not go again. Does not deserve 4*, the cleaners came up at an ungodly hour to clean and didn't do very well at that.

Our 1st holiday together as a couple.we loved it!! The Hotel was clean and tidy, the staff extremely helpful and friendly, the rooms were clean and spacious. The food and service was excellent couldn't fault it. Pool was clean, and a nice size never overly busy! the beach was only 50 yards away was lovely too.Entertainment was a bit twee, but made us laugh. The Turkish night, with Turkish dancers and Belly Dancer was ace. As for complaints didn't have any,the others cannot be talking about Bendis Beach, they must have been in another hotel,Lol,Fantastic Holiday Thanks xx

I stayed at Bendis Beach with my husband (both in our early 50's) last two weeks of September 2013. Weather was superb. The pool was lovely and the whole Hotel was very clean, food and drink were good and fortunately the Management's guests described by many other holiday makers on TripAdvisor had gone. Staff and management were all very nice and helpful. The beach was OK with plenty going on and plenty of sunbeds, only complaint was shelving pebble beach which made it difficult to get in and out of the water, but beach and water are very clean, the view was straight across to Kos and the scenery was excellent. We walked in both directions and did find a couple of bars, Tuna Beach bar was a good Turkish family bar, go left along the beach for about 100 metres and it's back under the trees, nice and cool on a hot day and drinks prices very reasonable.
The only real downside was the noise, our first room was across the walkway from the amphitheatre and the 'tiny' balcony was next to the extractor fans for the kitchens which they left on all night. We asked to be moved as soon as we got there on Thursday, but had to wait until Saturday afternoon to be moved as the hotel was full. We then had a quieter room with an even tinier balcony, but we were OK there. The entertainment was very poor and noisy and took place in the amphitheatre, would have been better to do some activities at night around the pool bar, as it did get a bit boring after a while. We caught the dolmus into Turgetreis most mornings, only 3TL each, much more going on there. Akyarlar was the closest village to the hotel, too far to walk, again cheap on the dolmus but the drinks prices were expensive. We did 2 boat trips, both very enjoyable, booked through Pablo at the hotel.
All in all not a bad holiday, you get what you pay for, but we wouldn't go again as not enough to do, if you just want to lie in the sun, it's perfect.

Room Tip: Avoid rooms near the amphitheatre, first blocks next to reception are the quietest. If you aren'...

My friend and I stayed at the Bendis Beach for a week in September. Having been to Turkey on several occasions I've come to learn what Turkish hotel standards are and this was exactly what I would expect a 3* to be, it was basic, but generally well kept, however when we arrived at 3 in the morning there was no room available for us and we discovered that a room which would normally remain unused, as it was for disabled guests, was rapidly being prepared. Being too tired to complain we just accepted this and asked reception to move us the next morning as the room was not clean, had dirty towels, no water in the fridge and was completely unsuitable. To their credit they did this without any fuss and our new room was clean and tidy, although the bathroom had seen better days and needed a really good scrub!

The food was excellent with lots of choice, we did discover that even though dinner didn't start until 7.30, we had to be there before 7.00 to get a table on the terrace. The bar had plenty of choice and the staff were friendly and efficient. There could have been more seating around the bar area though.

The beach was pleasant with plenty of sunbeds for everyone and the bar kept us supplied with soft drinks all day.

In all it was a very relaxing and enjoyable holiday, once the room issue was sorted out, and as long as you go with an open mind to Turkish standards you won't be disappointed.
