This hotel, located at the (in)famous all inclusive tourist beach spots around Side, is relatively decent, compared to the other kitschy palace-like hotels nearby. The more or less artificial village harboring this hotel is called Çolaklı (pronounce a little bit like: Tcholakl), 10 km west of the old Side, or 15 minutes and 3,5 lire with the mini-bus (similar to dolmush). The area is one of the nicer ones around, not too loud and clean beaches. The hotel is more the "european" style, with a lots of green and relatively spacious and more or less "organic" architecture. It is in the second row when you want to go to the beach, 5 minutes walking and fortunately also with a bar which also serves food included in the all inclusive, of course.
The rooms are renovated this year (beginning of 2014) with nice soft brown tones, but with several details manifesting, of course, no real "5 stars". Especially the bathroom is not very large and the tv is very small for the size of the rooms. Aditionally the room was relatively cold and there was nothing we could do about that. The rest was very positive: Nice and professional staff, clean and a lot of different things to eat and drink. Especially nice during the low season in spring and autumn, I guess, as the beaches are relatively empty then.

Room Tip: Choose a room in the upper floors

Very slow check in and little understanding of English. Hotel caters for Germans and Eastern Europeans. The bar prices were a little on the high side but the food was very good.
Plenty of outdoor pools but the indoor pool ( for winter when we were there ) is exceptionally small and hence overcrowded with a pool attendant adamant we should have a massage.
For a short stay it was OK but I think you need to speak German if staying for longer.
Rooms were clean and adequate with good quiet A/C.

The hotel was situated next to beach and had nice pool too. The food was delicious. We were travelling in november and our room was bit cold at the night time. According the staff I wasn't possible to warm to the room with aircondition-machine. That was the only minus-point in the hotel, everything else was ok.

Just got back from a week at this hotel, booked with a local travel agent doing a month of charters from our tiny local (newquay) airport.

Its a big hotel, but and the check in at nearly midnight was dreadfull, one guy on the desk, trying to register us all at the same time, who spoke virtually no English.

We got a lovely room, very large and airy, a double and single bed, sofa, coffee table and chairs, and a sheltered balcony (tiny, but adequate for two) overlooking the pool and grounds, which are beautifull, and imaculate. Only problem really was the aircon was poor, and it was really noisy from 10.00am, as the animation team start up then with music and shouting. The rooms aren't soundproof from outside noises, or indeed from rooms next door or above, or the corridor outside. Take earplugs!

The first couple of days the hotel was fairly quiet and relatively civilised at mealtimes, but it filled up during the week and was chaotic, especially at evening meals. The food was plentifull, but really catered for German/eastern european tastes, and the staff, though polite, and busy, spoke very little English anywhere in the hotel..German was the language of choice after Turkish. Vending machine juices were awfull, and the hot drinks frequently ran out. As did the ice. The freshly cooked griddled chicken/fish was good, but very repetative, and watch out for the offal if you're squeamish!

The beach was sublime! A short stroll, (but steep walk back) with the hotel's beach restaurant/bar about two thirds of the way, overlooking the beach and bay with breathtaking views, good fresh food, mackerell, trout, chicken, fresh pita/filled flatbreads, salads etc. Limited choice, no deserts or ice cream, but lovely none the less. Plenty of sunbeds, permanent shades, shallow, warm water, no music! watersports were available, and there was the occassional game of volleyball, but otherwise peacefull, comfortable, oh, and a little vending/self service booth for juices and coffees. Wouls have been nice to be able to get an ice cream, even if you had to pay.

There are a couple of shops out the hotel to the left, and a tour broker, who was apparently very good and competitive, we didn't use him, but others did, and got some great deals, especially dolphin island, and turkish bath/spa/hammam, much cheaper than in the hotel!

Also didn't know till we were on the bus leaving, if you come out the hotel and turn right, walk down the road and just around the corner there are a few shops and a couple of restaurants/bars. We had asked at reception if there was anything nearby, but weren't able to make them understand! Language was really a problem, with only one or two able to speak/understand English.

The weather was fab, between 34 and 39 degrees! Plenty of shade on the beach but really crowded by the pool after the first two days. I think the hotel was full when we left, and it felt crowded, so I think in high season when its even hotter, it could well be a bit stressfull what with the poor air con, crowded restaurant (very hot in the evenings), and crowding round the pool.

We thought it was good value for money however, as we got a very cheap all inclusive deal, but I wouldn't have wanted to pay more for it. Also found it pretty intimidating in Side itself, as the restauranters and shop owners are very aggressive in trying to get your trade, so much so, that we only made one trip out, and stayed at the hotel for the rest of the holiday! Though the inforced rest did us the world of good! Dolmus's stop just outside, and there is also a taxi rank right in front of the hotel.

We found this place on lastminute.com and stayed for a week, all inclusive, in april 2013. We arrived at 2am to an enormous buffet, supervised by the endearing Mustafa who couldn't do enough even at this usually antisocial hour! Our room, although not huge was largely sufficient to our needs, spotlessly clean, and we awoke to a view over the pool and mountains from our balcony.

We proceeded to eat and drink our way through the week, profiting 3 times a day from the excellent, enormous buffet sampling the local specialities, beers and wines.... delicious!

The animation team were excellent, especially Charlie and Mehzat. They got us involved where we wanted to be, but left us alone and didn't pressure us when we wanted a little 'quiet time'!

Although perhaps not 5 star as you'd find in London, Paris or New York, the quality of food and service would certainly make us revisit this hotel, if we ever return to this region of Turkey, which although touristy, is well worth a visit!!

We went to relax, and relax we did!! One week was not enough!!!
