Stayed there for the weekend, beautiful hotel, very hospitable staff, nice rooms. And the many pools are great for whatever mood you're in. Will definitely be going there again. Silly as it may be, but having 2 sinks in the room's bathroom was one of my favourite parts

We had a family holiday to Jordan in Summer 2017 and we were not disappointed with our choice of hotel!

First of all, even though we arrived at the hotel in the very early hours of the morning we had the most efficient check in and were in our rooms within minutes. This fantastic level of service continued throughout the holiday from the housekeeping to the room service and pool staff. There is a great choice of pools all around the hotel, although the 'lazy river' pool was not as good as we have experience elsewhere. However the incredible view from the infinity pool more than made up for this!

Regarding the restaurants, the breakfast buffet was great and the variety of food available in the dinner restaurants was also good; however if you are on a half board basis you may find that it is actually cheaper to get room service than it is to visit the dinner restaurants. Moreover there is a wide variety of drinks and snacks available around the pool throughout the day.

The Dead Sea experience is a must try however, surprisingly access for the elderly or less able is rather limited, futhermore the hotel itself is very sprawling with a fair amount of steps which may be difficult for some people to get around, having said that there are buggies available.

Also, the spa treatments were great and highly recommended.

Overall our stay at the Kempinksi was great and we would definitely recommend it!

Room Tip: Pool view rooms are great!

I booked 3 rooms and because I was gold kempinski member I got upgraded to Ishtar rooms. Since we got inside the gates of the hotel we felt very secure with checks of the car and suitcases. At the entrance you get strawberry juice. The hotel itself is vast. They drive you to your rooms with an electric golf cart (if not in the main building). The hotel has gardens and pools everywhere. Many of the pools are endless (such that you can see thru to the dead sea). We were at villa 28 (2 rooms) and 26 (one room). All rooms were pretty quiet, large with a huge bathroom. The shower is round with marble from wall to wall. They also have a small beach with free mud (see attached pictures). The breakfast at the Obelisk restaurant is very large with everything that you can imagine. At the evening they have a belly dancer on one of the terraces. This is the only problem of this hotel : they have minimum charge of 10 JD per person. although it is not much, I don't think that a classy hotel needs that. For lunch and dinner they have many restaurants on site like the "Obelisk" main eating area, the pan-Asian restaurant and the "Ashur" Italian restaurant. We ate at both and the food is good with resealable price. They also organize tours which we did not use because we had our own driver. The free extensive fitness center in the main building is open 24 hours a day and the spa in a separate building costs 38 JOD per person.

Room Tip: Ishtar room is very nice and big. Closer to the pools and dead sea.

The hotel is huge and covers a vast area but they will drive you around in a golf cart at any moment. The service is excellent from the attendant at the Dead Sea to show you how to float and apply the mud, to the wait staff in the restaurant to the house keeping team. The breakfast buffet was amazing but the food in the Italian restaurant was just OK, my fish was way over done but the atmosphere was outstanding (we eat outside over looking the pool and the Dead Sea).
The pools were some of the best I have ever seen in my life!!!
Beautiful old olive trees on the property.
The only thing is that the layout of the hotel is confusing and they need more signs around to direct people.

Room Tip: Rooms and suites closer to the Dead Sea are better... try and stay out of the main tower.

Definitely and by far the best hotel in the Dead Sea having tried all of them over the years - great service with very modern and well maintained rooms! I had a pleasant stay again this October with the help of all the friendly staff and especially ‘Obadah’ who ensured that all my requirements were met from my breakfast in the morning at Obleisk to my night cap/dinner at Ashur during the evenings! Would definitely recommend staying at the Kempinski when visiting the Dead Sea!
