We spent a week here in December 2013, 1 night in Ocean View Room and 7 nights in Flex Room. Allen was very helpful with all the information we needed before coming to the island, offering to make reservations for the speedboat, arranging a driver from Bangkok etc.
The place itself is wonderful. Rooms are very comfortable, clean, spacious and very reasonably priced (we found Koh Mak to be rather expensive), there's a communal kitchenette and the peaceful grassy yard has hammocks and sun loungers with a million $ view.
And even if you're staying someplace else, please come to their café and treat yourself to one of their delicious hearty breakfasts paired with a big cup of Kat's coffee. You can get anything from fresh fruit and banana pancakes (my son's favourites) to big breakfasts with eggs, toast, potatoes, bacon etc... And all that on a terrace with that amazing view.
Even though Vista is not right on the beach, the biggest beach on the island is just 5 minutes away (half a minute if you rent a motorbike like we did).
If you're staying in Flex Room and you're a light sleeper, I recommend that you take earplugs (I always have them with me so it wasn't a problem) - next to your window there's something like a water pump which sometimes makes noise and that's the place where the family members park their motorbike so that could occasionally wake you up in the morning.
I guess the only bad thing about this place is that they don't have Vista branches on neighbouring islands too :)
