We spent one night at Oceana this month to celebrate our wedding anniversary. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly greeted by Nicolas and his staff and shown around this
gorgeous establishment. The service and amenities are first class and the food was amazing.
We requested dinner in our room, which was an absolute treat. the weather was a bit poorly, so we opted not to go on a game drive, but you can watch the game from your bedroom balcony as they come to the water hole at dusk. A truly divine experience and we will definitely
return.

Excellent food and service. A very nice clean luxury room. Definately worth the stay. Arrived late for lunch and we were still catered for. This was excellent service. Also did a game drive which was also very nice. The huge jet baths are a must.

If ever you wanted to end a honeymoon in style anywhere in Southern Africa it would have to be at Oceana.
Stunning views of both the beach and bush, great rooms and fantastic staff.
You can do a game drive in the morning and spend the rest of the day on the beach.
It does not have the big five but combines very well with Shamwari which is big five and Malaria free.

Room Tip: The four sea view rooms are the best

This was our first stop on our first visit to South Africa and what an incredible first impression! The staff were charming, the food was lovely, the game drives excellent, the beach was gorgeous and the location amazing. But I think the most impressive thing was the design of the Ocean Suite which just gave such an impression of tranquility and peace. The views of the beach and veld made it seem as if you were in Arcady or Eden. We saw zebra, bontebok and ostrich grazing below our deck as well as giraffe, rhino and another 8 types of antelope on the safari drives ; the beach was covered with soft powdery sand with incredible sand dunes and not another soul for 7 kilometres. our time was too short to take advantage of all the activities but we will return!

Thank you for the feedback. I am glad to hear that you had such a lovely time at Oceana to start your holiday in South Africa. I trust that the remainder of your trip was as memorable and that we will see you back in SA and Oceana for another stay and a few days longer to relax and enjoy all that is to offer at Oceana and around the area.

My wife and I had a quick 2 day break away without our children, and found that this was absolutely perfect! The views from the lodge are outstanding all the way down to the white sands of the huge beach. Game is plentiful and you can always see "something" down below the lodge. Rooms are large and private, with big balconies (again with views). If you are looking for an option just simply to relax, chill, eat good food and drink good wine, then this is deffinately a place for you to stay!

Enjoy!

Oceana Beach and Wildlife Reserve is an unusual destination is a very good way ... The lodge setting is unique, the room locations & views are stunning, the beach seems huge and is unspoiled. We took the 4X4 'buggy' to the beach and saw rhino on our way there and even a few animals walking on the sand ...
The bedrooms are very comfortable and sunsets breathtaking ....
