Watched our first AFL game here, the game and atmosphere was fantastic, food was good, but stadium needs a face lift.

“Disappointing ground”
Reviewed 16 May 2013

All I can say is thank God that the Liberals won the last election and we will get a new stadium for football. The stadium is not too bad and views of the game are generally good. the problem is the process of getting to your seat (no easy access) and the amount of time it takes to get out of the stadium once the game is over. Forget getting food or drinks unless you are prepared to queue for half an hour or so, to get sub-standard food at inflated prices. Should have food and drink outlets on every level of the stadium. Whilst I have never been impressed with Subiaco Oval (Patterson Stadium) once I visited the MCG and saw what was possible, I have refused to pay an inflated price for a substandard venue, preferring to watch the delayed telecast on TV. At least this way I can go the the toilet and be back before the quarter is over! Can't wait for the new stadium!!!

“AFL match”
Reviewed 14 May 2013

This is an old stadium and more comparable to AAMI stadium at West Lakes in Adelaide , not to the MCG, Etihad , ANZ or Metricon. It has good atmosphere however as large crowds tend to attend the games and it has a fabulous position in relation to nearby Subiaco restaurants and the local train line. Access to games is very easy

“Average Stadium”
Reviewed 5 April 2013

We have football membership which we pay top dollar for. Unfortunately we cannot say Paterson Stadium is a top Stadium compared with stadiums in the other states. Many of the ladies toilets are broken year after year, which then creates huge queues. You are restricted when you want something healthy to eat. You are also limited to what you can drink, they only sell half strength beer but charge full strength prices. The location is easy to get too as there is a railway line close by. Parking can be a problem so I would suggest catching public transport.

“Restricted viewing was an understatement!”
Reviewed 25 March 2013

Went to patersons stadium for round 1 of the AFL season between Fremantle and Eagles. Got tickets online and paid $45 per person. It did say it was"restricted viewing". Upon getting to my seat I was amazed to find that the "restricted viewing" was a gross understatement it should have said "NO VIEW". I was seated directly behind a concrete pillar approx 400mm square. Could not see any of the field. It is appalling that they even sell that space as a so called seat, and charge $45 for the inconvenience. They should be ashamed of themselves!! Stay away from block 312, row PP seat 11.
