Lovely to sit and look out at the sea from this fantastically situated restaurant, open to the outside but with indoor seating too.We sat downstairs at the more casual and reasonably priced bar/restaurant .There was a buzz with lots of people chatting so a little noisy but very lively .There is shortish menu but everything sounded delicious .We had fish and chips and Quinoa salad.both were fresh, good portions .Simple but good quality.friendly service, good food and a great view. What more could you want?

I went to the Baths restaurant on the 1st floor, with a close friend, and was given a table at the window. I was surprised the place was only half full. The windows of the restaurant are full height, so views are expansive. There is also a sense of privacy, as tables are set at some distance apart. We had a most enjoyable and leisurely dinner, looking into the slowly changing hues and colors of the setting sun on Brighton pier and the horizon.
Whilst my barramundi was good, my traditional Tarte tartine dessert was outstanding. This is a great place to be alone, or having long conversations with a close friend or loved one. Recommended

A restaurant with a lot of potential - great views, very good wine list, access to great ingredients, so-so execution.
The zucchini blossoms were good but heavy with dripping melted goat cheese. A little too sweet for a starter.
The barramundi fillet was delicious and perfectly cooked. But what's up with the grapefruit in this dish? Stop while you're ahead.
The dessert list was uninspiring. Service could use a bit of help.

A cold night, warm interior, stormy view of the swimming area. Dined in the downstairs area which is modern cafe style. Patient service as we were in catch up mode with family members and didn't make up our minds quickly for food or drinks. As somebody else in our party ordered the wine I didn't see the range but we had a Barossa shiraz which was ok, but considering the fabulous range of Barossa Shiraz available I wonder why restaurants have obscure ordinary varieties on their winelists. For the same price they could have done much better. Food generally was So-So. Started with trio of dips and had to ask for more bread as the quantity of dips certainly outweighed the bread......would have been good to have it offered rather than having to ask. And they were ordinary!!! Again, dips can be really good, but these were not. For mains we tried, Fish and chips, Crumbed Chicken and the Prawn salad. All ordinary and on the smallish side. Chips, ordinary.....woukd have hoped in this restaurant they would be a little special and more generous. Crumbed chicken (special), not special. Hardly competed with a frozen packet.in both appearance and taste. The bed of fetta and potato was SO disappointing. Teensy pieces of bland fetta and teensy pieces of potato plus something else unremarkable...didn't recognise it and can't remember what it was supposed to be. The prawn salad was more lettuce than prawn or anything else. Again a special that wasn't very special.
Because we were so engrossed in catching up we didn't discuss our food but then there wouldn't have been much to say. Could be much better.
