We went out to get dinner with our friend, we returned with more friends, a stomach full of delight and a smile on our face.
It is a small & intimate place but the staff is very helpful & just dances from table to table.
Please go there or book them for a private function at home. They won't disappoint you! we will be back!

We couldn't book (because trip advisor had the wrong telephone number - the correct one is 0413 480 365) so when we showed up and there were no seats we were really disappointed. It is a tiny place but the owner tried everything to fit us in and finally on a cool night we settled for the footpath.
After the food experience we would sit anywhere even on the road to enjoy this place again.
Is it Spanish or Italian. Well who cares when it is the best of both. We started with letting the owner bring out a tapas selection. What a good move that was. The splayed prawns in their cooking pot, parmesan crusted eggplant chips, a Spanish version of a party pie and a perfectly cooked lamb skewer left us grinning with delight. It was so good we let the chef decide a selection of four main courses as well and she didn't disappoint here either. Great pasta with the spaghetti marinara and the ravioli lamb ragau just cooking triumphs.
Full as a state school we could not resist saying to our charming waitress ( who it turned out was the half Italian half Spanish Polish speaking owner) " ask the chef to give us a sample of his deserts". Even the women ate every last crumb of everything including the Spanish donut sticks!
So we went out for a snack and happily dined ourselves to a standstill with a food festival.
This place is a gem. A tiny little gem and I can see people fighting for one of the few tables they have inside as the weather gets colder.
Don't bother with the airfare. Go to Le Cinque Terre in Bay St Brighton, close your eyes and you will be in Spain and you will go home to sweet dreams of Spanish food in your own bed.

And the co-owner who looked after us is Polish! This tiny new restaurant is conveniently opposite the Palace Cinema in Bay Street. It's very pleasant to squeeze into one of the tables or a stool at the equally tiny bar, but there's a slightly larger room at the back too. This place really is a tapas bar with a significant hint of Italy. It's all prepared in the little kitchen behind the counter at the front, and all four of the tapas and pinchos we tried were just delicious. It's smart to order them one by one unless you're in a hurry, to avoid getting the lot at once. When we went, they had no licence but we understand one has been applied for, and really the food is so good it's a treat even if you can't yet have a glass or two of Rioja to complement it. We'll certainly be back, vino or not!

Visited on Thursday on our way to see Michael Buble at Rod Laver. This is a great new restaurant. Has just started opening for dinner and is currently byo. The enthusiasm of the staff was lovely with great descriptions of the tapas choices. The food did not disappoint with wonderful meditteranean flavours and remin ded us of Spain. We will definitely come back very soon and tell our friends
