A family wedding brought me to this hotel for the first time and what a lovely hotel it is too. Nothing was a hastle and the staff were more than helpful and friendly. As for the Lincolnshire breakfast in the morning ....yum yum. I would go back there in a heart beat if the need arose.

The meal was not as good as expected. The Exotic Fruit Salad got as exotic as kiwi and pineapple, not really what was expected. Yorkshire puddings came out with all meals, including the salmon. The trio of chocolate desserts had very little chocolate included.

The bar prices were higher than we hoped. On a busy night we spent ages queuing at the bar as there was usually only one bar man working on the only bar.

The disco DJ was disappointing. Even though there were few of us on the dance floor the DJ was reluctant to play our requests, instead insisted to play Christmas tunes and not much else.

As for the staff on duty, they were polite and helpful. Nothing was ever too much trouble. The rooms were well decorated and we loved the whistles.

Thank you for taking time to write a review, I am sorry to hear that we did not meet your expectation, we value all feedbacks and make our standards better. I would speak to our DJ regarding requests and for the bar prices we are no more than 10pence more expensive in most drinks.

I would like to thank you again for the review and hope you will give us another try in near future

We chose the Woodlands for our overnight stay to see the New Year in as the price and standard of the hotel was far better than your basic Travelodge hotel which came in at only £20 cheaper, plus we had breakfast included. On our arrival we were really taken aback by the lovely warmth and homely feel of the hotel when we went inside, the friendly warm greeting from the hotel manager and the friendliness of the staff. The room was lovely and we felt really chuffed with ourselves on our choice.
We will definitely be going back again :-)
We chatted to another couple who were there who live only 5 miles outside Spalding but said it was far cheaper, and lovelier, to stay there overnight rather than getting a taxi to and from home for the New Year celebrations!! Speaks for itself. Quality and style all rolled into one.

Thank you for a lovely New Year's Eve. It was only a small group but the attention to detail was great. The food was lovely, just a bit too much. Desserts lovely. We look forward to another visit. It would be helpful if you could upload the Christmas and New Year's Eve brochure onto the website, as I did have to ask if anything was going on New Year's Eve, also in your brochure you do not mention anything about DJ and music, so we were not sure what the entertainment was going to be. we look forward to next year !

We stayed at The Woodlands Hotel on New Year's Eve whilst visiting friends in Spalding and we were more than pleasantly surprised by this little gem of a hotel. We enjoyed ample parking on arrival and a very warm and friendly welcome upon check-in.

We booked a standard room, which was more spacious than we anticipated, and still had everything you could ask with the only exception of a mini bar. The bathroom was fresh, clean and modern and had a great shower. Bed was comfy and there was plenty of spare pillows and bedding to hand if you needed them. We were also very pleased with the heavy blackout curtains, which along with a comfy bed ensured we had a great night's sleep.

We didn't stay for dinner but the Lincolnshire cooked breakfast did not disappoint. In fact, it's one of the best English breakfasts I've had in a hotel in a long time. It was included in our room rate, which we think was exceptional value for money.

This isn't the boutique hotel we'd normally opt for but it had plenty of charm to win us over for the price we paid. We'd stay there again if visiting the area.

We stayed in room 16 for 1 night over a weekend. Early check-in (1pm) was organised by a simple request and not charged for. The room was comfortable and in good order. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We dined out on the evening of our stay but breakfast was very good. Our only complaint was an electrical buzzing / pulsing noise that started in the middle of the night (3am) and kept us awake for over an hour and then stopped. We mentioned this at reception on check out and we were given an apology by the receptionist who promised to investigate.
This didn't spoil our stay and overall this is a good hotel.
