Reviewed 29 September 2012

It is very good hotel. Nice ambience. All staffs are very helpful. Good restaurant with nice buty of swimming pool. Room is good. However the only thing, there was no control for AC temperature (and air flow) in my room (But I never felt that requirement).

Room Tip: Don’t keep the window open, otherwise monkey will come into the room

Dear Sir,

We thank you for choosing Malligi during your recent visit to Hospet.

We are happy to note that your stay was pleasant and that our accommodation and services were up to your expectations.

The central Air conditioning is to avoid our Guests's waking up to switch off the ac or to adjust the temperature at night.

We look forward to serving you again and we assure you the best of services as always.

Thank you once again from all our dedicated team.

This is a nice hotel with good rooms and good restaurants. One good thing about this hotel is that it caters to all sections of people. It has rooms in a new complex at a decent price. For price conscious people they can provide lower priced AC and non-AC rooms. Ambiance of the hotel is good. We could not use the pool as the water was looking dirty (I think there was some construction going on). Restaurants can make the food less spicy with lesser salt. A number of dishes were salty. Overall I enjoyed my stay there for 2 days.

Room Tip: Rooms in the new complex are better. Choose rooms that do not face the main road. There is noisy ma...

Very decent hotel. Rooms are basic but comfortable. A little old, but still respectable. The food in the hotel is good. Nice pool. Nice ambience. I was here for a meeting, and the venue worked well. Would have liked to travel to Hampi, but no time.

I have stayed at Malligi in all my previous visits to Hospet and the experience has always been a good one. However the only reason of discomfort is that the rooms and the taps and faucets are all quite old. There was paint peeling off the walls in a few places, taps and other fixtures feel very old and used up. But apart from that, food was decent, staff quite courteous. Maybe I was booked in the old wing which is why I might have had this experience. Was told by a colleague that have recently built a new wing which is quite good but was the last day of stay so didnt check.

I loved everything about this hotel. It was clean, rooms were big, front desk personnel more than helpful and I liked its location. The restaurant was excellent, as well. It was money well spent.

Definitely a place to return to.

What else might one need except this. Let me first talk about my experience.

A long awaited dream of visiting Hampi was about to get realized. This is when I googled around and found this beautiful hotel.

Booking: No worries here. Just emailed them with my desire to stay at their property. Immediately got a call from Ms.Sripada, Executive Director and the rooms were booked in just under a minute. Got a email confirmation.

Check-In: Got there (without the email confirmation) on 15-Aug-2012. Little bit worried about not bringing the confirmation letter. But I was just asked my name and I had the keys :)

Surprise!! - We were upgraded for free to a Luxury A/C although we had booked a Standard A/C room. If I had to state the room quality & experience in one word - Awesome! For 1.5K per night I couldn't have imagined anything better.

Amenities: 3 restaurants to choose from within the premises, Room Service, TV, 2 individual beds that can be clubbed if necessary, dining table in each room, A/C, Conceirge Service, turn-down service, complimentary buffet breakfast, travel desk, on-premise shops - books, CDs, Traditional Clothing, Antiques, mini-provisional store that sells toothpaste, snacks etc at MRP rates (No extra charges!), STD/ISD booths.

Surpise Yet Again!! - While booking the rooms I had requested for two things - 1) The rooms should be adjoining - Not a great one to satisfy!!? 2) A DVD player on one of the rooms - They offered this as complimentary. The surprise is that we found the player connected and ready-to-go when we checked-in - This really showed how much Malligi cared for their customers and were really expecting you to check-in to the pre-allocated rooms.

Location: Conveniently located at the heart of Hospet town - a beautiful town with the usual hustle & bustle. Hampi is just 9 KMs away from this hotel.

Food: Awesome! Awesome! Awesome! - They have 3 restaurants Temptations, Waves & Blue-Mist. Being a vegetarian my favorite was Blue Mist - although we tasted food in Waves too. The food was really excellent - We never felt away from home and we never expected the food to taste so good at a lonely town!

Stay: Brilliant! We enjoyed every day & night. No problems whatsoever. We actually decided to extend our stay by another day to explore Hampi from this wonderful hotel.

Parking: Lots of space within the premises for parking. Only minor suggestion that I had was that they should arrange for car cleaning (either complimentary or charged) everyday for all guest vehicles. This is a must! I hope my next stay at Malligi will take care of this minor issue.

Check-Out: So smooth as it could have been. 1500+ taxes. Again Real Value for money!!!

Cost: Value for Money!

Verdict: I would recommend anybody to go and stay at this wonderful hotel. They stand by their motto "Adithi Dhevo Bhava" which means "Customer is God-like". Infact I was attracted initially by this catch phrase and found it quite true. Why should you spend more on other properties if you get everything at a reasonable cost @ Malligi. No need to talk about Hampi here - Lots of awe-inspiring stuff is on the internet.

Malligi - Hats-off! I still have lots to explore in Hampi/Anegundi. 4 days was not enough ;) I will return soon and stay here. That's a promise.
