“A great night out!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 April 2014

The location of the restaurant is a little hard to get to, but the view once you are there is fantastic! Our dinners were excellent and the hosts were attentive and service was also.
A special treat for Peter was that our host and a guest couple who were staying there spoke Dutch, which is his first language.
Prices were very acceptable for the lovely dinners we enjoyed.

“Excellent Cambodian food in the mountains of Panama”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 February 2014

This restaurant was a real and a very welcome surprise. The location is out of town and the road from the road to the inn is a bit rough. But the setting is wonderful and the place looks so dramatic set overlooking the hills, a beautiful stunning view. The dining room is fairly small and the service is attentive. We were happy to eat some Asian food after the other restaurants we had been to in the highlands. The chicken curry was very good and quite spicy, similar to a Thai red curry. The fish curry was delicious and the sauce delicate and a little spicy. We'd love to eat there again - it was a treat! No-one lit up a cigarette during our dinner which we were happy about. No smoke at all!

“Fantastic food, Butt”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 February 2014

What a surprise to find a Cambodian restaurant in remote Santa Fe. And even a greater surprise to find that the food was truly magnificent. It took quite a while for the food to arrive, but it was worth the wait. I have eaten Cambodian food many times both in the US and in Cambodia, but this meal was as good as it gets, The fish amok was fresh and perfectly seasoned. Others in our party had beef with ginger, chicken curry, and a vegetarian curry. All the meals were amazing.
Another surprise, and this one not so pleasant, was that the restaurant allows smoking. Why a place like this which presents such a welcoming, serene, and organic atmosphere would allow smoking is a mystery. But it did seriously detract from the enjoyment of the evening. We had planned to return to dine a second evening but changed our mind when the first smoker lit up.

“Dour business owner, warm family”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 January 2014

We almost didn't go back when we met front of the house manager. But we came back anyway and had a most remarkable evening. Really excellent Cambodian food, charming server in this delightful family run business. We didn't stay here but we ate here. We'd have gone back had we been here longer.

“Excellent food in a relaxed atmosphere”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 January 2014 via mobile

We ate here twice, the first time because we'd heard such good reviews and the second because there were no other restaurants open in town (on a Saturday night!). Both times the food was excellent. The menu is small but good and there may be specials that aren't on the menu. Some of the ingredients come directly from the garden. The cook is really lovely and remembered both us and what we had ordered two nights previously. There is a great view of the surrounding area. There is modern Western music playing (as opposed to the usual Panamanian music) and there was due to be a local band playing on Saturday night (we left before they arrived). Diners were all tourists or ex-pats, probably because the prices were higher than in typical Panamanian restaurants, so it felt like we were in another world. I would recommend this place for a lovely evening but don't expect an authentic Panamanian dining experience.
