“great grounds and beautiful breakfast”
Reviewed 4 November 2013

we stayed one night after dinner at the restaurant. We had two great ajoining rooms on the top floor(take elevator then walk up one flight of stairs), beautiful view of the grounds, sparkling wine and fruit after check in, and most wonderful cold cuts, pastries and cheese the next morning.

The opulent rooms have all the luxury you wish with a balcony overlooking Lombardy.

This is one of those places that are comfortable and have all the modern amenities you need. After refreshing yourself in the marble bath-room you will soon dream away in the soft beds.

We used this room after having a tasteful lunch in the restaurant and enjoying a wedding at the estate.

Expensive but the price does fit to the standard offered.

Very few rooms, but all beautiful. We stay in a junior suite, but most of the hotel will call it "simply" a suite. The decor is very "classic" and tasteful. The service is impeccable. The hotel is very near Bergamo and lake Iseo and is located in a very quite area, I never heard any noise. The pool is very inviting, but too cold (accordingly to my wife, she likes bathtub temperature!)

We stayed at Da Vittorio for three nights for a family wedding in the area. The hotel is superb, beautiful spacious rooms in a villa setting with beautiful grounds. The restaurant is considered one of the best in all of Italy and with reason. While it is certainly a pricey hotel and restaurant Da Vittorio earns a star in every department. A true Italian experience at a very high level!
If I were to really find a fault it would be in the lack of spa or gym facilities which would make the hotel really outstanding, the beautiful but cold swimming pool is not enough to try and work out all the calories of the amazing food.

Stayed at the hotel and had dinner here.
From the moment you enter, everything is arranged for you and arranged very well.
Room we stayed in was great and had a huge patio.
Within 5 minutes after arriving we got sent a bottle of champagne and were sipping it in the sun, whilst enjoying the wonderful view.
Dinner was amazing, great food.Chef came over for a little chat and suggestions.
One of the best i've ever been to.

Every star is deserved : creativity, savors, service, welcome, ambiance, setting... No detail is neglected. They prepared a delicious special menu for our kids. I had a mix of sea food to start, then a veal filet, last a baba au rhum and a tiramisu exquisitely revisited by the Chef who came to chat with us. The cheese variety is exceptional but am not sure that you can still eat when it comes... Make sure you make some room for the candy car : a pure delight. I did visit a few 3 star restaurants and this one is definitely among the top of the list. Of course such a charming place can only be a Relais & Chateau! There is a hotel with very few rooms (8 or 10?) but we only went to the restaurant.

My wife and I stayed here on the first night of our 2 week trip around Italy to celebrate my wife's birthday. It was incidentally also the first of the five 3 Michelin starred restaurants we went to.

The location was perfect for us as we would not have to drive to/from dinner. The approach to the hotel was on a quiet street and hidden behind massive wooden doors was a large landscaped compound.

We were well received (bags and car all whisked off) and settled into a room with a bottle of well chilled franciacorta and a fruit platter. The room was well appointed with a great bed, a nice bathroom with all the amenities you'd expect from a hotel at this price (although the shower was a bit on the small side and the tub only fits one), a large patio (which was great for a post dinner grappa and cigar), nice stereo (no ipod/iphone connector though), but a slightly crummy TV (which didn't matter to us since we didn't watch it anyway).

Service was technically excellent but a little stiff which explains my rating. And at EUR300 per night, we thought the value was about average. However, we would return should we dine at Da Vittorio again.

Room Tip: We stayed in room 101. It had a large patio which faced the back of the hotel. Because the hotel is...
