We booked the hotel last minute, enroute back to the UK. The booking was simple and the receptionist spoke good English.
On arrival the manager processed our booking and showed us to the room within 5 minutes, very efficient.
The room was spacious, ground floor and everything was as advertised.
Used the adjoining restaurant and the evening meal was very good and not too expensive. My wife thinks that the decor is very much the same as her last visit, over 3 decades previously! The restaurant is neither basic or luxurious, somewhere in the middle BUT as said the food was very good, service rapid and wine selection (if a little pricey) was also good.
This is pet-friendly and so no problems for our dog.
The breakfast was equally good with both a UK-style hot and continental option.
All-in-all a very GOOD experience so thank you.
I would certainly recommend this to people travelling to/from the S of France as a convenient stop-over prior to ferry or Chunnel.
There are also fantastic views and walks available down at the beach.
My only very minor criticism (not the hotels fault!) is the road works that are being made on the road into Escalles. The signs said 'route fermée' but this is not the case except, perhaps, for larger vehicles.More
