The Wind Munnar is full of WIND, as the name suggests. Built on a cliff edge, the wind receives THE WIND to all its rooms. We stayed in Wind during week days, even then the resort was fully occupied. We felt home away from home. Actually we took a short cut to reach The Wind from Adimaly, which saved us time and the traffic in munnar city. The owner of the resort Mr. Noby Abraham and family was there to receive us. My kids, three of them, liked the location at the first sight. Not much place to play for kids, which they had told me at the time of booking. The location is absolutely calm and peaceful. We went on an evening walk and visited the Muniyaras on the first day. Amazing place.
We had no idea about the next days plan, where Mr. Suresh came with a list of places and directions. We covered half of Munnar in the first day. we finished almost all places in the next day, which was not in our schedule. We were served almost all dishes we asked for. The view from restauarant is equally good from that of rooms. So waiting for food is not a problem.
There was a sofa cum bed in the room, which we used for the kids and saved the money for extra bed.
the last mile connectivity is the only problem we faced, but that seems to be a common issue with all resorts in Munnar.
We are sure to visit THE WIND again. I am only happy to recommend.

Room Tip: The honeymoon cottage slightly bigger than the other cottages , and has a small play area in front of it.

Thanks to tripadvisor.com for having listed THE WIND MUNNAR as No.1 in Munnar. Its a small hotel, but we are delighted with the kind of service they offer. When I called the resort for reservation, the person at the other end told that they are small but they can guarantee PERSONALIZED SERVICE. We realised the meaning after two days of stay. The staff of the hotel take care of you just like a guest at home. The team itself is small, but they are there for any of your need.
The restaurant serves a variety of food. They dont offer buffet, but they manage to serve most of our taste. The rooms are very spacious and clean. Excellent valley view. Watching sunset from the balcony is an experience.
I am only happy to recommend this hotel to fellow travellers. Being small, they are able to serve you better.

Room Tip: Occupy the room on top (same level as that of reception) if you have elders with you.

A comfortable visit and stay spot for all visiting munnar.
Even though located very close to the nearest chinnakanal u will feel ur stay as if in a cliff mountain . The Resort staff were all very attentive and helpful and the assistance provided in arranging our trip to mr nobby was most helpful and appreciated. We had a great time staying at
wind munnar Resort, and loved the natural ambiance. Even though our stay was short we thoroughly enjoyed it.

On our way back from Kodaikanal, we planned a trip to Munnar also...As the Wind has good review ratings in Trip advisor we planned to stay in Wind, Munnar..The stay was perfect with good food and nice room...The location is so awesome as the resort itself is located on a cliff..The view from balcony and rooms are so striking..especially the morning and evening time..The Manager was so friendly..(special thanks to Mr. Noby..) ..Food was good and even if it is bit far from Munnar town, it is worth visiting..The rooms were very clean and it is a well maintained resort. Overall the stay was very comfortable and it is a quite and a calm beautiful place to spend your holidays...

Went with some really high expectations. Especially given that it was rated so highly on Tripadvisor. The view is undoubtedly spectacular. Takes quite a bit of effort to reach the place but still can be ignored. if you are a tad careless with keeping the doors open you would have to spend the night with quite a few bugs around ... but even that can be ignored. What cant be from my perspective is when you go for a holiday and you have to worry about quality of food. My love for travelling has taken me to many hill stations across the country especially in the north and food always have been a winner. Largely homecooked but delicious but at The Wind food is quite a let down. As the best thing they can make are idly and dosa we actually told them to stick to the same all meals in a day. Also my driver is like my family. Didnt quite like the dictat of the "management" not liking drivers to eat alongwith the guests. In today's time it sounds ancient to me. When I am paying for his food why should he? Also I feel that the owner's or manager's staying in the property for such kind of B&B place makes a huge difference....in this case it wasnt the case. While Noby did his utmost best to support, guide and make our stay memorable...in all honesty it fell short of my expectation.

Room Tip: Pls carry some bug repellants, umbrellas.
