tiny beach but for anyone who likes sea glass it is a a treasure trove!! Lots of fire melt glass which was neat to see.. am guessing most of the glass is from a dump site or local incinerator. Worth a visit for sure!

It seemed like shards of glass and china had recently been added to the actually sea glass located there.
Unfortunely there was a lot of garbage in the area.

My partner and I were doing some geocaching in the area and decided to check out Glassy Beach, after reading and hearing so much about it in the news. The beach is very small. There is quite a bit of 'new' sea glass, but not much of the older types that you can find on much more scenic beaches in Newfoundland. We were very disappointed and felt misled by the hype. I would suggest people head to Bonavista Bay South if they are looking for a nice, smooth pebble beach with rarer types of glass.

A unique little spot but not a beach. I would refer to it as a cove. Being a collector of beach glass I was pleased to see so much but respected the signs to not remove any of the glass. There is a very small trail leading to the area.
