“Great location”
Reviewed 22 January 2014

We stayed in a two bedroom two bathroom unit in December 2013.

The interior of the unit was great and fully equipped. The buildings on the outside looks much older than they are, due to the extensive lack of maintenance and mould all over the exterior stucco.

The pools were not very well maintained and the one we used didn't seem to get vacuumed at all during our entire stay. Beach in front of building is not good for swimming. We went to Mullet bay most days, it is an easy 10 minute walk.

The location is great as there is easy access to restaurants and supermarkets if you have a car. There is a Marche that you can walk to, but it will take a good 20 minutes.

Security was provided at beach and entrance at front, which is necessary as there are many reports of increased crime against tourists on the island.

We would return but they really must do something about the exterior appearance of the building!

Room Tip: Each unit is individually owned so ask for pictures and maybe ask to speak to previous renters

Thank you for taking the time to write your review. Unfortunately, during your stay, the filter system in the West pool failed. I hope you were able to use one of the other 2 pools that were available to you. Our pool serviceman comes 3 days a week to clean the pools. The issue with the filter has been fixed.

Occasionally the waters can get rough, especially if there has been stormy weather within a few days. Otherwise, it’s very private and you can swim & snorkel right out front.
Mullet Bay Beach is by far one of the best beaches on the island.

Cupecoy is a great location as we are within walking distance to several restaurants, a casino and beaches. The market is about ¼ mile away so some may require a car considering the distance.

Unfortunately there’s crime everywhere these days. We suggest to our guests to lock their doors, never leave anything in the car, park only in well lit areas at night or use valet/paid parking. We also recommend not wearing lots of jewelry drawing attention. Recent reports indicate that crime is down on the Dutch side of the island (4/2014).

Each unit at Rainbow Beach Club is individually owned so they should provide you with pictures of the condo prior to renting. If renting through VRBO.com, pictures should be on their listing. You can also contact previous renters that have left reviews on Tripadvisor prior to your booking.
We hope you’ll consider Rainbow Beach Club during your next stay in St. Maarten.

We loved this condo, its location and spectacular views. The condo was clean, furnished with taste and very well equipped (appliances, furniture, dishes etc...). Perfect place in paradise.
The owner of the property was helpful and courteous. We dined at Fig, French bistro across the street; excellent food, service and walking distance. Beach? Out of this world. I highly recommend this place.

Room Tip: Ocean front.

Yes...the beaches really are quite something. Chances are, at Rainbow's beach, you'll be the only one there; very private. We love F.I.G. across the street ; great spot for casual dining. We try to keep our kitchen fully equipped with all the "little things" you might need. So glad you enjoyed your stay. Thank you for writing your review!

We rented a 2BR/2B condo from this complex, and the condo was large & updated with partial ocean views. There was good security at the entrance, and also a guard at the spiral stairs to the beach. Some people might find the tight spiral steps to be a challenge, esp for those with a fear of height. The small beach could get strong surf and is not suitable for novice swimmers. We enjoyed both pools facing the ocean & the upper pool had a great view. The condo's thick stucco walls was good wrt soundproofing against most traffic or plane noises. The location is very convenient wrt restaurants & supermarket shopping, and easy access to the French side or to main parts of the Dutch side.

Thank you for choosing Rainbow Beach Club. We're pleased to hear you enjoyed your stay; the condos are spacious and the thick walls are great for blocking out any noise. December was unusually stormy and there was some strong surf. We hope you come back soon to paradise! Thank you for taking the time to send in your review.

My husband and I just returned from a little 2nd honeymoon in St. Maarten. Our stay was absolutely perfect. The condo club is easy to find, has three fantastic pools which are surrounded by lush tropical landscaping and plenty of comfy poolside chairs to relax and soak up the sun.
When we entered the condo, we were taken by the panoramic views of the Caribbean Sea. Every room of the condo was decorated in an upscale fashion which perfectly frames the beautiful blue sea. It truly was nicer than a Ritz Carlton Suite, yet no where near the cost. We also saved so much on additional expenses by not having to purchase or rent beach chairs, towels, snorkels etc. Even sunscreen was provided. We didn't have to run to a store everyday for things we forgot or didnt think of.
The kitchen was fully equipped so we were able to prepare several romantic dinners to enjoy as we watched the sunset from our balcony. Being early risers, we caught several sunrises while sipping coffee & a little breakfast. We were even able to enjoy our own favorite music in every room with the great i-pod docking stations the owners provided.
Our trip included daily adventures of sightseeing around the island, plenty of shopping, bars and restaurants and of course to the beach for a little snorkeling. After searching the web for many hours and plenty of past travel experiences, I know we would have paid so much more and got so much less elsewhere. Thanks for making our stay such a pleasure. Can’t wait to return with our children.

We stayed at The Rainbow Beach Club on our honeymoon because we were looking for something that was not a "typical" island resort. It was the best decision we could have made. As it was the start of off season, we essentially had our choice of three private pools and the exclusive beach all to ourselves. Our condo was out of this world; perfectly clean, beautifully decorated with an amazing view. The condo had all the amenities that were advertised plus more and it provides the perfect location and staring point for anywhere on the island. The club is situated close to the border between the Dutch and French side and getting around was a breeze; be sure to make car arrangements.

When we go back there is no question that we will be staying at this club again - perfect for what we were looking for. The owners were great and the condo staff was friendly and helpful. As promised our security deposit was returned within days of us leaving.

My husband and I recently stayed at Condo 24-S. Jill, the owner, was both efficient and helpful. The condo itself is modern, clean and offers everything you could want for a lovely stay. Jill even provided all the small necessities such as soap, shampoo and paper products etc. which was a great bonus. Beach chairs, umbrellas and coolers are also provided. The views from the balcony are outstanding. The internet can be "patchy" but it does work. The Rainbow Beach Club itself looks tired, needing repainting but we read that there have been issues with the Management Company in the past which are slowly being addressed and may include updating the complex. Parking is first come, first served but we had no problems. The security is very good. The complex is well situated, within walking distance to beaches, restaurants, shops and bars but we would recommend a car to take in all that the Dutch and French side of the island has to offer. We highly recommend the Ocean Club Bar and Grill next to the Sapphire Club (less than 5 min walk away and they have a sign outside advertising $8 breakfast). It has been recently taken over by new owners, Sal, Sue and their daughter Gena. Their food and service was wonderful - they are such lovely people and make you so welcome whether it is for breakfast or dinner. Their prices are great too! Ernest & Fidel is another nice little restaurant in Porto Cupecoy which is open for breakfast and lunch. All-in-all, we had a wonderful time - can't wait to visit again.

Room Tip: Make sure you opt for a condo overlooking the pool and ocean. The higher the better!

We're pleased you enjoyed your stay at our condo! I wasn't aware The Ocean Club Bar has new owners; must have happened right after we left in April. Love that place! Hope to see you again at Rainbow next year and thank you for your review!

We stayed at Jill's condo and it had everything one would need for a great vacation. Breathtaking view from inside and on the balcony. The unit was in excellent condition with all the modern amenities. The beach is private and there are three pools, two which face the sea. Jill provided everything from laundry detergent and toiletries to beach chairs, towels, and umbrellas. The building has 24hr security. I would recommend this condo to anyone considering a visit to St. Maarten. The complex is conveniently located near the airport ( you get a wonderful view from the balcony of incoming planes without the noise), has several good walkable restaurants, and is near the french border.
