“Peaceful days in Jose Ignacio”
Reviewed 17 April 2012

This B&B is a few kilometres away from the small town of Jose Ignacio, on the way to the Laguna Garzon. It is a lovely house, with airy, spacious rooms and it is very quiet: at night all you can hear is the sea, the crickets and maybe some neigh-ing and baa-ing from the horses and (one) sheep that roam around the garden. The hosts could not have been kinder, helping with restaurant reservations and directions and even lending me a mobile phone with their numbers programmed into it for me to take with me when I went off for the day. If you want somewhere to relax and escape, consider coming here.

We stayed at this beautiful B&B for 5 nights in March 2012 with 3 kids, ages 12 and below. We all had a wonderful stay. Andrea and Pablo are exceptional hosts, catering to all your needs and ensuring that your stay is perfect. The property is breathtaking, a high end home set in the countryside. The rooms are decadent and the home very comfortable. Breakfast is plentiful and delicious. The owners are full of insightful information to make your days fun and memorable. I would highly recommend this B&B to everyone, from families to couples, and am hopeful to return one day.

Room Tip: There is only one room upstairs which is beautiful and very private. The 3 rooms on the main floor...

This small hotel is located on a vast tract of land a short walk from one of the world's great beaches. The landscape visible from the hotel windows is gorgeous: pastures dotted with puffball trees, cows, horses, and sheep. The hotel is elegantly, simply decorated. The owners are so quietly graceful as hosts that you will forget they are there -- yet they seem to magically appear if you need anything. The beach has few people, endless dunes, and a pleasant surf. The town itself (for those of you who haven't been there) is at the perfect stage of development with sufficient stores/restaurants yet no overcrowding. This was the highlight of our vacation to Uruguay and Argentina. Go!

Andrea and Pablo treated us like family coming to visit. The candles were all lit when we arrived which helped showcase the lovely home they have designed. There were so many special touches, like the dried herbs tied around the towels in our room. And the food was fabulous. We found the experience to be relaxing and friendly with just the right mix of conversation and privacy. All in all one of the best places I've stayed.

Room Tip: the room at the end of the hall on the main floor opens out to the yard and pool which is very nice

We recently spent five nights at Miradores and had a wonderful time. Andrea and Pablo treated us like guests to their house and made us feel very welcome. Richard and Carol, who was working at Miradores, helped us with any possible wish and cooked delicious food. The estancia is located a short car ride from Jose Ignacio and very close to the surfing school at Laguna Garzon. We could not recommend it more.

Room Tip: The room in the tower has access to the roof which offers great views over the surrounding landscape

We recently stayed at Miradores de Laguna Garzon - my only regret is that our 3 day visit was nowhere near long enough! The hotel is much more like a beautiful, airy house than a hotel. It has a unique and intimate vibe that I much prefer to big hotels. Andrea and Pablo are extraordinarily warm and welcoming hosts, very generously allowing us to use their kitchen and barbecue during our stay. The lovely pool and outdoor sitting area are the perfect place to lounge with a good book. One afternoon, their friend took us horseback riding around the land near the house. The landscape is very unusual, expansive ranch lands right near the ocean. Anyway, I had a fantastic time here and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing, friendly place to stay in one of the most beautiful spots I've seen.
