We stayed at Ing's cottage from 11th September for one week.
Being keen walkers and very familiar with the lake district we wanted a cottage that had great access to the fells as well as being able to walk to a pub for a meal after an exhilarating day.
Ings cottage ticked all the box's.
The cottage itself has a fantastic layout very quirky and homely, the location directly opposite Blencathra meant we could eat a hearty breakfast enjoying great views from the cottage then set off with the added bonus of no car !!! You cant beat that also to top it all after a lovely warm shower we were able to walk from the cottage into the village for a fabulous meal at the horse and farrier pub.
This cottage lives up to everything the description says we cant wait to go back again.

We all enjoyed our stay at Ings last week! It's a lovely house with lots of lounge, dining and kitchen space. Both living rooms are comfortable, with that on the second floor being particularly suitable for film nights. The bedrooms and linens were up to scratch - although guests need to remember to bring their own towels. The only real negatives are that you can only use one shower at a time (if you both want hot water!) and the internet doesn't really cope too well with multiple devices online. Otherwise, though, it made a lovely holiday home for our week in the Lakes.

We've just returned from the Ings after a fantastic stay with friends at the Ings cottage the owner Nick has described the cottage to a Tee. The cottage and the surroundings are breath taking and the cottage was very well equipped and plenty of room to accommodate the 8 of us and we all hope to return next year hopefully.
