I did not visit this wine center but I wanted to comment on how important it is to find a very small tour company to take you to the different wineries in the Margaret River. I ended up on a large bus tour that only went to large "factory" wineries. Once I got to Margaret River, I found there smaller tours I could have taken

Margaret River is an easy drive from Perth, the roads are very good and you can stop off at places like Mandurah and Bussellton ( make sure you take a walk along the massive pier) along the way to break up the trip which takes about 3 hours.
Once you are in the centre of Margaret River there are so many things to see using this as a base. There are various sites to see around the town itself as well as the wineries they are famous for, also there are other food centres that are worth seeing. Try not to do too many as you may not appreciate the whole surrounds. Drive down to the southern tip to Augusta then head back north and be sure to look at Jewel Caves along the way. Stop off at Borunup Cafe and the gallery next door. Drive further north and swim in the Indian Ocean at Prevelly. Continue your drive up to places like Yallingup and Dunsborough, and be sure to visit the lighthouse at Cape Naturaliste (make sure you take fly repellant to enjoy the trip). All along this road and the road back to Margaret River there are more wineries, a chocolate factory , an olive oil and soap factory and much more. If you do your planning well you will see many of the main and varied attractions and hopefully you will enjoy it as much as we did.
