We spent 3 nights at the Semonkong Lodge (there's camping too) and can recommend it to anyone looking to escape to a remote place where you still have all the comforts. The food was consistently good (prepared by the resident chef) and the service excellent.
Highlights of the trip were the 200m abseil off a waterfall (has a Guiness World Record as the highest in the world - you get a certificate to prove it) and horse trekking on the famous Basotho ponies.
Would go again, this place has something for everyone!
P.S. it's actually in Lesotho and not South Africa
