“Great meal good value ”
Reviewed 10 August 2014 via mobile

Had Sunday lunch. 3 very good courses for £19.95. We had booked and all the tables reserved . Always a good sign. Service was good not rushing you . Would come back if stopping in the area again

“Won't be returning”
Reviewed 5 August 2014

Average food with not a great choice, no atmosphere, overpriced for what we ordered and so we won't be returning.

“Lunch time at the Boot”
Reviewed 5 August 2014

We had been meaning to visit the Boot for quite some time and were not disappointed. It's a gorgeous black and white pub with friendly, helpful staff and a good selection of well kept beers. The sea food platter starter was very good with a good selection. The cuscus that accompanied it was very tasty but the batter on the topping prawn was soft. The fish and chips and duck main were also vey good. Considering the ingredients and the quality of the cooking it is good value. The wine list is good and reasonably priced. We are looking forward to our next meal there.

“Fabulous Beer Festival”
Reviewed 3 August 2014

We had the greatest of pleasure to visit this country pub during it's annual Beer Festival which runs on the last weekend in July. What an absolute treat. Live bands, plenty of guest ales and ciders, children running freely, people chatting on picnic benches, really pleasant staff and lots of tasty food cooked by Martin, their renowned chef. Chris, the manager is one of the nicest guys you could meet. Great atmosphere - thank you for a great night guys!
