Orchard House Bed & Breakfast
Reviewed 30 August 2013

Found Orchard House while looking for a romantic get away. seemed perfect, Judith was very accomodating adjusting room bookings to allow us to stay in the Byre room. Trip was worth it for the gorgeous stand-alone Victorian bath alone. Hosts and breakfast were lovely, with Noel kindly giving us lifts into Ludlow each day. Ludlow itslef was a charming town, plenty to see and do, very dog friendly and plenty of real-ale pubs. Would certianly go again. thank you for a very enjoyable weekend break Judith and Noel

If ever a yardstick was required for measuring the quality of English B&B's then look no further than Orchard House.
We have stayed there several times over the years and never been disappointed and that was indeed the case this last weekend. Very comfortable beds in generously sized bedrooms with excellent bathrooms all scrupulously clean.
Cooked breakfasts are superb too - hot food served on a hot plate - always gets my vote!
So if you are thinking about a short break in Ludlow and district then think no further than The Orchard at Ashford Bowdler. I promise you will not be disappointed.

Room Tip: All th romms are great.

Excellent place to stay. Very clean and comfortable. Our room The Byre was lovely with a large bathroom and a super big bath to soak in after a day's walking. Me and hubby stopped for 2 nights at the end of March when the weather was exceptionally cold but the hospitality shown by Judith and Noel was extremely warm. We had a lovely cooked breakfast each morning. It's only 5 minutes into Ludlow making it an excellent base. We visited the Castle and climbed to the top of the St Lawrence church. Both have lovely views and worth it. We shall return to the barn if we are ever in the area again. Thanks Judith and Noel.

One of the best B&B's we've stayed at! Our plans changed at the last minute and we ended up staying here. We both felt this B&B was a gem of a find and quite simply wouldn't choose to stay anywhere else should be in the Ludlow area again!

The building has lovely character, the beds were comfy and the host's Judith and Noel made us feel very welcome. - Breakfast was great too.

An excellent location for anyone wishing to explore Shorpshire/Herefordshire. Should we come back to Ludlow we'll certainly be back! James & Natasha

We stayed just after this years Ludlow Food Festival. We had originally booked the seperate cottage, however when we arrived we were given the option of staying in the main house as there was an odour in the cottage, believed to be a dead mouse trapped somewhere.
The room we were given was great, a fantastic big bath to soak in after a hard days walking and with plenty of tea, coffee and Kit Kats to munch on.
The breakfasts were fantastic using fresh local ingredients and Judith and Noel were excellent hosts, who would gladly run us into town so we could have a drink each evening when eating out.
At the end of our stay I went to pay and was given a reduction as the room we stayed in was less expensive than the cottage - very honest.
Overall I would thoroughly recommend Orchard House as the ideal spot to explore Ludlow and the surrounding towns vilages and countryside - we would definitely stay again if we were in that neck of the woods.

We booked for 2 nights, with friends, to attend the Ludlow festival. Much Ado About Nothing was cancelled due to continuous rain, so we had our picnic in the breakfast room at Orchard House, Judy and Noel could not have been more helpful, and accommodating.
The rooms are wonderful & beds comfy. Will be booking again for next year, but need to arrange for better weather!

We have just returned from a three night stay Orchard House. It was a lovely house with comfortable facilities. Judith was such a lovely lady who was very helpful regarding the area and places to eat etc. We were exceeding well looked after and never felt that we were paying guests. Nothing was too much trouble and we gratefully appreciated our hosts caring attitude. The breakfasts were superbly cooked and it was very evident that the ingredients were of a very high quality. The house is situated fairly close to a railway line but this was not troublesome and we (even though I am a very light sleeper) even managed to over sleep on our final morning there resulting in us being late down for breakfast but even this did not concern our kind hosts and breakfast was as lovely as ever.
