This is a piece of paradise just a short drive from Lots Kinabalu. Wonderful for a Sunday lunch or an evening dinner. Hostess with the modest, Liza and husband Peter are always on hand to greet guests and the staff is efficient and friendly. Sunday lunch is a roast better than mother made.

Fantastic place which we thoroughly enjoyed
Nearly everything is great
All the staff, from reception to garden and house keepers as well as owners (him and her) are very friendly
Beautiful setting, 2 lovely pool, long beach, fabulous sunset
Good restaurant in a colonial style building, nice breakfast
Stayed in bungalow n°6 which was very nice in front of the pool and as we prolonged our stay we got moved to bungalow n° 1 which was even better for the same price
The only problem is a very bad WiFi connection
Highly recommend

Room tip: all rooms are nice

I've got mixed feeling about our stay here. the staff where lovely, it was great value and the location is amazing but overall the hotel was dated and a bit tired.

To be more specific. tiles missing in the main pool, Some of the sunbeds were dangerously wobbly. We had a large patch of mould on our bathroom ceiling and holes in the floor. The food was OK but a bit bland and we saw a rat go in the kitchen window. Ants found in the cereal at breakfast. The decor in the restaurant/bar looked liked it had been there since the 70's.

The biggest disappointment was the beach. Although the hotel make an effort to clean it up the sand was muddy at the waters edge and the sea looked very murky. There was also a lot of rubbish including nappies in the sand. Either side of the hotel beach the rubbish was much worse.

On the plus side the new pool was much nicer (although still had some missing tiles) and the gardens and lawn were fantastic.

About 30 minutes outside town.

Overall i enjoyed our stay but i wouldn't go back.

Room tip: go for a sea view in one of the newly built rooms

We stayed here for our last two nights after touring Borneo. From the moment we walked in the door we were made very welcome by the receptionist even though we were early by being invited to have a drink in the bar whilst our room was ready. These are small chalets surrounding the swimming pool and are perfectly adequate, clean and comfortable. There are two swimming pools one in garden surroundings and the other in front of beach view chalets. The restaurant is excellent with good food in the evening and providing a great breakfast. The staff here are outstanding from reception to restaurant, polite with nothing to much trouble. After all our touring it was a welcome break with plenty of TLC . I would definitely recommend it.

Room tip: Quiet and Relaxing
