Parc des Mamelles is a zoological and botanical park found within “Parc National de la Guadeloupe” in eastern part “Route de la Traversée” that takes you between the eastern and the western side of Basse-Terre . It is a park featuring mammals (not that many), butterflies, birds, turtles, plants etc presenting mostly the flora and fauna of Guadeloupe. It is built to fit the rainforest, so the paths are pretty narrow and not that flat due to the hilly terrain.

There is a small café half way in the park.  Also a possibility to view the park and the scenery from the treetops in the rainforest is included – a 350 meter walk on bridges between the trees.
