There are three 3 golf courses in the Nassau/ Paradise Island area:
The One and Only Ocean Club, which hosts the annual Michael Jordan Classic. Guests of Atlantis and the Ocean Club can reserve a tee time through the One and Only Resort.
South Ocean Golf Course, located on the south side of the island and has been newly refurbished.
Nassau has a Cricket Field outside Nassau on Haynes Oval. During the season, you can watch cricket teams play. usually on Saturdays and Sundays. Of course you can catch professional games on wide screen TV in their PUB on the premises.
The Bahamas also has a Football Association (Soccer) and host regular games in season
There's plenty to do in the crystal clear, turquiose water that surrounds the islands. Whether you want to snorkel or dive the brilliantly colored coral reefs or discover a wreck dive, or you can book a fishing charter and hook a blue marlin or try fly-fishing, also known as bonefishing in the islands. The possibilities are endless.
There at several full service dive shops in Nassau. Bahama Divers, which has a store front at the Nassau Yacht Haven in Nassau and also at the Paradise Island Harbour Club, and Stuart Cove's who has a wonderful dive shop on the south side of the island. Cove has been connected to many underwater movie, including several James Bond pictures and more recently the hit movie "Into the Blue" with Jessica Alba.
Charters such as Chubasco Charters, Browns Charters and Born Free are the tried and true favorites, but there are newer companies coming on the scene with professionalism and knowledge to give them some fierce competition. First Class, Hunters and Paradise Island Charters have all become reputable charter companies and will give you and your party a fishing day to remember. If you are lookingn to do some real fishing in the out islands, you should be checking out Bahamas Fishing with OU.
Some of the most amazing things to see are under the deep blue sea. Experience the Bahamas from a different point of view from a submersible undersea bubble at Stuart Cove’s SUB Bahamas. Put on a waterproof helmet and "walk" on the bottom of the ocean floor! You don't need to be scuba certified or experienced at all. See shipwrecks, schools of colorful fish and coral reefs.
Swim with dolphins and meet sea lions
If you ever wanted to get up close and personal to a dolphin or sea lion, this is your opportunity. Dolphin Cay at Atlantis and Blue Lagoon Dolphin Encounter both offer these amazing experiences. Swim in deep water or just interact in shallow water, whatever you're comfortable with.
