Barbary Beach is called by locals as the most beautiful on the island, which may or may not be accurate - there are so many great beaches in Grand Bahama - but it gives you an idea. It is located about 15-20 minutes East of Port Lucaya, and is totally undeveloped. There are no facilities at all at Barbary Beach, and it is rarely touristed. There is a rocky section where you can explore tidepools, and a beautiful sandy section. There are a few tours, such as Horseback Riding, or Kayaking, that will take you to Barbary Beach. It is a popular spot for Bahamian weddings.
